I was anxiously waiting for the trash pick up.  Thankfully, they were working today.

Woops, I check mail once a week and today was not the day.

Commission checks get picked up or wired into my account. Mail is usually picked up by someone else for me. PS. Was the post office even open today?

Tell what was special in yours? A big commission check?

 I did check my mail boxtoday but it wasn't very thrilling ....

Not me...maybe that's why it felt like Sunday today...

Actually, I found a large envelope near the mailboxes(I live in a condo complex) today that must have been mis-delivered.   

I'm not sure if the mail was delivered today.  We check ours about once a week.  

It's a holiday in Canada today for Federal employees. No mail tomorrow either, because of Christmas being on the weekend.

      The USPS will deliver Amazon packages, and Express Mail, on Federal Holidays (to most zip codes - check the USPS website to see if your zip code is eligible). 

I did catch myself checking the mailbox though I knew it was a federal holiday. I only check it about every other day and didn't remember if I checked it Saturday.

Never tought about it. I guess there was no delivery?

I can honestly say I didn't even think about it.  I hate getting mail, so I rarely check and certainly not on a holiday.

No, I knew it was a government holiday.  I did have to look up the trash company's schedule though, because I'm taking a friend's cans out & in while he's on vacation.

Due to the majority of my mail being bills or junk no anxiety to obtain it quickly exists. I'll get to it but not on Sundays or Federal holidays.

It's been a busy day for me - I actually didn't think about the mail (until now)... :)

Why would we be waiting for mail today??? It is a statutory holiday in our great nation and the post office does not work on statutory holidays.

I did think about it....but then realized the banks are closed and all federal buildings....

Not this gal.  My mail is not delivered until sometime after 5pm.  A few days ago the postal carries were out at 7pm ... delivering mail.  Not special packages ... mail!  I would not be checking Monday's mail (which is not being delivered today) until some time tomorrow. 

I don't wait for mail when it's a holiday LOL

These days I only check every few days.  Yesterday was not one of them.

Not the Monday after Christmas, but have been guilty of checking on holidays in the past!

I knew they were closed as i fumed over 2 loan officers taking the day off becuase it was a bankers holiday despite teh fact there is work to do to get 2 sales closed this week. Today I will be waiting for an overnight sent last Friday with a check.... more like a 4 night shipping service. 

Why, what did you send???  No, our mailbox is a ways from our house as we live on a long, private road, so we don't check it every day, just when we are driving past it.

I didn't... I specifically drove over to the post office to mail my new year greeting cards to my clients as I knew there would be no pick up and delivery.

If it were up to me, the mail would never get checked, and the post office would close.
