Anyone who can't say they've experienced the same from time to time has a selective consciousness. This is the hard part of our job - the lulls. And the uphills.
Every day, do something toward your goals, without fail. Work your business plan (you better have one!).
But during lulls, do something for YOU. Or for someone else that's not business. Be OK with it. Your time will come!
The Universe will always swoosh in to fill those empty spaces, so leave room for them.
Last but not least . . . I love the saying "Don't compare your backstage to someone else's highlight reel."

You're not asking the right people the right questions! You have to ASK for referrals - not the used car salesman way but, in other ways. Are you getting together with your top referring clients each month? If not, are you at least FORD'ing them with a call each month (asking them about everything to with them but, NOT real estate)?
Lastly, have you thought about coaching? That can completely change your career if you hire the right coach - make sure that there is someone there who will HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE!
If you're not in Charlotte, give me a call - I'm happy to help. If you're in Charlotte, let's get together - I'll hold your hand; there's plenty of business to go around!

Sometimes we need to realize that we don't know what we don't know! Taking a step back and looking calmly and without emotion to what you are doing can often shed some light on what needs to be done. I've often found that people stop just before success rears it's head. Perhaps there is someone you can discuss this with in your own market and who is making a success of themselves?

Find someone in the business you trust to be honest with you about your approach to this things. You may think you are doing the right things, but the approaches or methods may need tweaking.
And if you are told you are doing the right things, just keep at it. Sometimes you have to live through uncomfortable lulls.

We all have lulls from time to time as Candice A. Donofrio says. Sounds like maybe what you are doing is not quite right and needs to be tweaked or you need to try some other strategies. Is there someone in your office or you market that you know and trust, or your broker, that you can talk with

If you are a new agent, find a mentor who can help you figure out what you need to do differently or more of.
If you are a seasoned agent, these lulls are just a part of the business. Keep prospecting. Take training in something you have wanted to learn. Pick up a new hobby. Eventually business will be back.

The first thing that I think is that I'm not doing all the right things. Usually when things get off track with me, I have to remember the basics and go back to the basics. That always works or at least most times.

Confess!
What I mean is confess you are crippled by the most costly words anybody can possess. It renders them unteachable. Makes them blind.
The two words you own that are proving toxic to you are 'I KNOW.'
You think you know what the right things to do are even when the results contradict the reality. "I know' means you go of on different internal conversation whenever someone offers a word of guidance.
It is exactly like the private conversation a citizen has with themselves as soon as they hear the words "I'm a real estate agent." Upon hearing, the citizen begins their internal dialog and the moving lips of the agent never deliver a sound.
When the student is ready, the teacher will come. Until then, go and do the thing(s) you dislike most. Such action are great disruptor's to blindness and will get your feet back on reality.
If the thought entered your mind 'What are those things?' you must understand this is only further manifestation of your condition.
I've got money riding on the most likely outcome will be, more of the same, you paying for some 'coaching' plan. Let us know what you do.

If you're not generating any business or referral you must not be doing all the right things... you only feel like you are.
