My engineering job actually enforces a "take vacation or work from home" week this week. They turn down the thermostat at the campus and save some money on utilities. I suspect most are like me, on vacation and not working from home since new emails are virtually nil this week.
And the person I needed an answer from at Kentucky Real Estate Commission has an "out of office" through Jan 3. Bill
Ryan Huggins - Thousan...
Thousand Oaks, CA
As well as loan officers and appraisers not available when there are buyers who need to close.
We have 4 rehabs going on and no slow downs from our crews.
I have been taking time off my self.
Anthony Acosta - ALLAT...
I respect that . . . there is more to life than work! (even though it is inconvenient upon occasion)
I haven't. So far, everyone is still plugging along as usual.
Can't say - thankfully haven't needed them. The banks and escrow are working and that's good
In my small community, that's pretty standard whether there is a holiday or not.
No, not to many at all.
Yes, though I would not consider a plummer or electrician a professional.
...lawyers, doctors, dentists... you name it.
Haven't run into this yet.
Nobody is working in these parts.
I had the need to call two so far this week and both were available.
The lender on my active escrow is on vacation all week... and the loan contingency is supposed to be removed Friday.
Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington -- a few for sure. Getting response after a long time (or a message - see you on January 3rd!)
I'm taking it easy this week, so I'm not running into anyone!
Can not understand why they are not, even some inspectors took off.
Yes, and this is particularly frustrating for my property management homes.
all of those in the trades with whom I work are working this week....
Yes, I have a home under contract and I can hardly get any professionals out to check the home.
I haven't but many agents that I know have been. They are all quite frustrated since they are working and the trades are not.
Many people are taking a vacation during this week. And yes, a lot of the trades are doing this as well.
I wouldn't know, as I'm not working this week either.
Ahhh rest, recharge, reload. Look out 2017!
No; all I see seem to be chasing the almighty buck
I have three in each category for this reason
There are probably some, like me, who are enjoying some time off. Have not had any issues though!
Yes, down South it's hunting season
Yes, it seems like everyone I am trying to work with regarding services is on vacation this week.
We have beautiful weather for a family holiday.
Not more than normal I'm afraid
Yes, everyone is on the 'it's a holiday bandwagon'.
Actually we had a plubing problem right before we left our Florida condo yesterday with a week's tenant moving in that afternoon. We called in the moring and the plumber had it fixed before Noon.
Just like Santa; keeping a list of each and checking it twice.
I plan for this eventuality, so can't say I've actually had an issue. And fortunately, have not had any emergencies requiring attention from these trades.
Not so far
