I don't make to do resolutions and I don't make do not resolutions. I take it one day at a time and hope to make appropriate decisions as options present themselves.

The subconscious doesn't process the negative of a thought as a negative.
So if I had 'not' resolutions, I would definitely frame them as going toward 'healthier habits for the critters', or 'attracting clientele suited to my talents'.

No I Do Not make absolutes in most things business its important to treat each situation as what it is Unique and with potential opportunity 

My only 'do not' resolution I ever made was, "Do Not take all buyers and sellers if they're not a good fit!"  That was one of the most liberating resolutions I ever made and I'm not big on making lofty resolutions either!  

No Resolutions. And No Do Nots.

Yes, my number 1 and only resolution: DO NOT make any resolutions for 2017.

2017 will be the year where I want to be grateful for everything. Good or bad. So, there will not be a "Do not" resolution. One can learn from one's mistakes.

My last resolution was "DO NOT make any more resolutions"  I've kept to that one for 10+ years.

I don't make resolutions but commit to daily goals all through the year. The big one I gave up a couple of years ago was to stop listing REO's. I also have become very select on the business I take on.

Any resolution has to be from day-to-day and must be purposeful and aspirational. The "nots" are well taken care of by our experiences. Adults don't need to be told what to do, they need to be reminded and in our fast-paced society we can sometimes get ahead of ourselves and are late in remembering -- our "should have known better," if you break it down, is knowledge we had that wasn't retrieved in a particular instance. "Pause for reflection" and "slow down," at least for me, can work better than prohibitions.

That $30,000 listing is a walk in the park when it's compared to current apartment rents and our veteran community, over 26 million, just concluded a record year in originations when it can be doubled or tripled with an ongoing effort to reach ~1/3rd of veterans who aren't even aware of the benefit. The slightly higher interest rate for alternative underwriting -- 2 years of rent, utilities, and phone payments on time scarcely matters when a loan is that small, so a little investment in time could mean a source or sources in the veterans service organizations to take all $100k or less listings off your hands in short order. The Tampa Bay area has a huge veterans population needing two VA hospitals to serve them with Bay Pines VA not far from you. The dollar amount of the listing becomes less relevant when you segment the market and recognize that the low end margins are part of what can be a high turnover market (like a gas station pumping gas or a grocery store) compared to the high end (like a jewelry store that might have high margins but can only turnover their inventory once a year). Low cost housing (I'm a former banker) can be very lucrative -- just need a game plan.  

I do not like to restrict myself and love the flexibility a democracy gives me even if I am living in a fantasy land. Happy New Year; "here's lookin' at you kid."

The one resolution I made years ago which made a difference was to work harder to learn people's names when you meet them the first time. It takes an effort, but I really enjoy learning someone's name - and it makes them feel important.  This is not a "do no do" resolution. And this is the only one I have ever made.

My adjustments tend to be like those of a master mariner... making course corrections as the sea demands.  

$30K here won' teven get you a boat slip or an extra garage space so there's no fear there. I do not make resolutions on New Years eve because they just never seem to stick. My lasting resolutions have all been in April with cause unknown. HAPPY NEW YEAR Annette!

I don't make resolutions really.  But if I had to choose it would be to don't run after unqualified buyers.
