There are many factors involved in getting indexed in Google searches.  First, it is not a get-rich-quick strategy.  Two weeks is a nano-second in blog time. Stick with it.  Blogging is the most effective, least effective long term form of lead generation.  

Are you sharing the same articles in both places?  If so, google will only index one of them (as it's duplicate content).

If your goal is to make your own blog that you own do better (and that's prob what you should be doing), then you want to post different content on here and link back to your main site.  The backlinks from here will strengthen the articles on your own site as it will pass link juice.

One thing I learned a few months ago, when you include a pic, and always include a pic, make the title of the pic part of your blog title.

Hello Angie and Nathan -- as others have responded, the process is unlikely to be an overnight success.   Your key words may need to be more specific than "rentals Cody Wyoming".   I would also contact Coach Katerina at Nestor & Katerina Gasset for exceptional advice and guidance.

Google owns Blogger and may have a higher priority on such posts.

• Go to Goggle + and post the link there
• Carry the code over to ActiveRain
• Then I post the AR blog link to all the other social media 

Goggle my name and you will see that I am all over the internet.  I have recently noticed that I am getting mentioned on from the comments I made on other ActiveRain bloggers posts.  

Give it some time and don't duplicate your posts - change the ones you post on Google Blogger and post different ones on AR.  That way, you'll be conveying the same message but, different verbiage and get double the results!  Don't give up...keep on keepin' on, Nathan and Angie Gesner!

SEO is an ongoing struggle and google keeps changing the rules. It is tough to be seen.

Well, you have to muscle up to the big boys like Z & T. Even in Wyoming they dominate.

I'd use a better search term personally like rental homes in Cody WY or homes for rent in Cody WY.

Take your AR posts & post them in Google+. I don't even know what G blogger is ????

I think you have some good answers below. It definitely takes time and there is a lot of competition, especially for certain key words

Are you sharing the whole post on your other blog or just a link?  It may be a duplicate content situation where Google is only indexing one site with this content.

It will take time and consistency. At least, Google blogger is working for you. 

I don't know why it isn't showing up through your AR blog but suggest continuing to sharing on your other social media networks and channels. This extra exposure will contribute to getting seen and better SEO overall.

All good things take time and effort and consistency.  Stay with it.  You are on the road ... don't detour.

If you're logged in to your Google account when you search, any posts on your Google platforms will show in the top 5 results.  You need to use incognito mode or some other browser to search.

Aside from that, it takes time for AR's pages to get indexed by Google and even more time for those blogs to beat out the big companies dumping beaucoup money into those search terms.  Something like "Rentals city, state" is going to have a LOT of competition from the online monsters and the industry giants.

It appears that you have some good answers.

There are a million reasons why your AR page is not showing up. It is something you can not really guess on. When I do an audit, it involves a lot of componants. 

That being said, the most likely cause of this is poor authority on your AR profile and your blog post itself. 

For a term like Rentals Cody Wyoming, that is a very tough keyword phrase to go after. 

So you are going to have to get some votes to your blog post itself. Google loves ActiveRain but google views each pages on its own merrit so even though the domain authority passes through to your blog post from AR, if someone else has a better voted page according to google, your post can not stand on its own merrit. 

You can do some things like Tweet about the post, link back to the post from Google plus, share it on FB, repost it to realtytimes and link back to your AR post... etc...

BTW: I LOVE CODY!!!! I have been there many times and was just there in 2014. Can't go to Cody without eating breakfast at Our Place! Best breakfast in the states! 

You may want to give it more time. Being on page one of google doesn't happen overnight.
