Whether it "vomits" real estate depends on what you choose to put in your card. There are lots of good companies out there... from Prospects Plus to Merrill to PrinterBees, etc. If you google the topic you'll find all the options. Find one that lets you customize sunstantially.

I have used Vistaprint in the past but I have not had a good experience with their "design" team.  After paying them to design a card ... they dropped the ball which I had to pick up and do the design myself.  

Peter - I create my own postcards in Microsoft Publisher, but use ExpressCopy.com for printing/addressing/mailing.  One reason I use them over a local printer is that they have the equipment to UV coat or laminate the pieces, so they make it through the USPS gauntlet looking fantastic.

I think that Vistaprint does that, but once again like Nina Hollander said the content and its "message" really has to be yours. Best of luck on the campaign!

compare the cost of your local printer, staples and a few other companies in your area.... if it's for creating a marketing piece, you would need a graphic design person .....

lol, there are so many good looking ones but I think it has to do with better content. That might take templates off the table for you.

I like Merrill. The photo quality is always very good. Other companies may be cheaper in cost but often the photo quality goes with the price.

Post card printing is unrelated to the design of the post card.  Printing will simply print the design provided by the designer.

We have it done in-house.

Create your own message,  Vistaprint and many others can help with the rest.

Talk to your local printer, they may have a graphic designer or know of one who will do a great job.  

Not doing postcards anymore and haven't for a while so I can't help.  Try video marketing...less vomit and you know it's your own if it happens.

If available, I would choose a local printer but be mindful that the message/content of the piece will make the difference.  And consistency.
