I am constantly aware of my personal safety.  For me, using photos on these open house signs (or any) is an open invitation for every perv to find you in a vacant home.  Perhaps it is different for guys but I hear it is open season on all Realtors, M & F for jewellry, cars, electronics, etc.

Not a fan of them.  It seems a little too egocentric to me.  Others might argue that it's name recognition.

I don't believe I really care if a directional sign has a picture or not. And like Richard Weeks my preference leans towards questions with a photo attached to them and not anonymous.

If the image is an asset, then it's an asset.

If the image is a liability, I would suggest a logo.

If one needs to go back 40 years to find the 'asset' have at it.

One can only assume you are using the same logic right now.

I think open house signs with agent name and phone number are wonderful marketing tools. You place these at intersections to direct buyers to your open house - and depending on the traffic, thousands of drivers may see your name during the time of your open house. Great tool! I don't know if there is added value to have your photo - but the name is huge.

Where ever you have a picture, you need to update it regularly.  I received a business card from a lender and her picture must have been 10+ years old.  Looked nothing like her.

Signs can last a long time, no sense purposefully making your signs capable of obsolescence.

Arrow signs should just have arrows, no pictures that reduce the size of arrows and the message. I love when my competition posts their pictures as buyers often drive by.

I don't put my photo on any signs or business cards, I'd rather use the space for info and calls to action, etc.

When I do a rare broker's open and when I used to do unqualified buyer opens- you know open houses, I use/used 12 -16 directional signs per open.

Whether they are a good marketing investment depends on your criteria and definition for "good marketing investment".

In my area, some agents have the signs with photos, others without photos, and yet others have some with and some without photos.  I am indifferent to what others do.

We do not like or dislike personalized fotos. The only time it is useful is when cops try to cite you for improper placement on the street or curb....

I use generic OPEN HOUSE sign as most agents have to reorder signs after a brokerage change. Some change brokerages yearly.  Those photos were taken about 20 years ago.....
