As far as right now vs. December, I'd say the market got busier, we got busier, clients first blog second. I know I'm 5 times busier now than Dec.

Activity ebbs and flows according to how important one makes this platform in their work tasks.  I have one mandatory task a day:  write a post.  Everything else is optional and as time allows.  Some days I leave no comments, other days 10-20. I try to scan the Q&A section for any "technical" type questions I can answer.

I think I must follow very active bloggers because I see the same people every day....

When we first started posting here, there was much more activity.  Many of the people we followed have disappeared.  With the change of ownership, and web issues, I think many have flown the coop.  Most of the people I follow now are consistent.  A

I can't say I've found posts and questions dwindling... there's always more to read than I seem to have time for. And the people I follow seem to be as active as ever.

I think, it is different for each. Being here for a long time is a huge time commitment when you juggle between business, kids, relationships. I log in almost every day, but sometimes it is just a few minutes, sometimes it is for hours;) 

I think it varies from time to time but there are lots of people posting, at least the people I follow.

No rhyme or reason. Just do what you do best and don't worry.

I would rather have quality postings over a greater quantity of postings. I know my blogs are attracting new clients, so i am staying with it. 

More questions and posts than I can handle.

      This question board typically has 15 to 25 questions per day.  The number of blogs goes up and down, but it is always too many to read.

I see 20-30 questions on the average weekday, 10-15 on Saturday and 5-10 on Sunday.

Blogs, those are mostly done on the week days, but several people post on the weekends too.  I'll second what Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor, CRS said, clients first, AR second.  Some days I don't get on to AR until 9pm.

I agree with Debe Maxwell - and I also believe that many people found other places to spend their time.  FB is a big one. 

There has been a few times since I started in 2007 that I have gone away. There has also been changes in policy that some don't like and leave. There is also the tendency for agents to be impatient with results then they fall back into older but less produvtive activities just becasue it is familiar.

For me, there are more posts to read and/or comment than my time permits. As Bill Liz and Bill Spear  answered, there is a natural ebb and flow here.

The bloggers I typically follow post consistently, however, when we get busy, some days it is impossible to get a post up...or, at least, it feels that way. 

I doubt that is really true as the blog roll looks the same to me. Robo posters are gone which is great.

I can't keep up with the blogs I'm following. Try to catch the Q & A daily. There is a lot of information I'm always learning something. Yes, I think some people are busier and the board slows down.  

I am much busier now than in December, and business does always come first.

I have not noticed a number of blogs and questions dwindling. I'm very busy but try to post something everyday and comment on 15-20 posts. If you busy doing real estate you can't hang playing in the rain all day, especialy if its working for you.

I am seeing a change too and don't really know why. As business gets busy members do not post as often. There are just so much time in the day.

Quality has fallen in many areas so we need to look for great bloggers for good info

Nathan my goal is to stay steady with posts and commenting - as much as possible.  I do take time off for online stuff and it's always refreshing.

I am also one who sometimes doesn't sign in at all (although I am trying to at least log in once a day and write a post) and other days spend hours here. I also got really sick and had to step back and take time for me, my family, etc. 

As business picks up the less time I have for the Rain.

The bloggers are still posting, just AR does not get all the splash. Google the poster and see the rest of the iceberg.

AR's been going through some pretty interesting transformations in the past couple of years since they were bought by Trulia who was acquired by Zillow and then spun off to its current owner who I think is still trying to re invent it to some extent. IMHO.

I wasn't here back in December but I imagine people get busy and it becomes lower on the priority list. I know I was on here far less this week and last than the first week or so when I was really getting back into it.

I haven't noticed but then I joined AR a few months ago.

I have not noticed a reduction.

The only thing I have noticed is a drop in qusetions on the weekends. The people I follow are consistently active daily!

Nathan Gesner I haven't noticed. It seems to slow down on the weekends, but picks up again on Monday.

Yes, there are cyclical patterns where life intrudes on social media.

My observation, suggests participation on ACTIVE Rain in the Q & A forum to be in decline.

New blood is needed, such as Nathan Gesner, to stimulate more activity and sharpen the curiosity and vision of others.

I  saw fewer questions yesterday. 

When everyone gets busier with work, they may have less time to spend on this site.

I do tend to notice that some spend more time here in holidays/jan (and/or come back) as they are less busy/doing marketing plans/gearing up for new year, and then less as spring market gets busier.

I have noticed the same thing, Nathan Gesner - during the holiday/winter months, we tend to take a little more time off!
