I did LONG ago, years and years. I don't want to be that available for 'just anyone' and it invited the wrong kind of people. That was my experience. I'd rather someone call, text or email me and give me a chance to vet them a little better. YMMV . . . having said that, I LOVE that feature on retail and other sites although 9/10, the info I get is so vague or wrong I end up needing to call anyway.

The chat function implemented by many companies (non-real estate, both big and small) is generally useless or aggravating. I have only come across a small number of websites where the chat function has been very useful.
On the real estate side, a few years ago a local friend of mine had implemented one via a third party company. The chat window would automatically come up on the website.
I decided to give it a try and asked "Does [name of agent friend] work in [name of city where I know friend works]?" I was told that the agent would need to get back to me. I asked some other simple questions where a licence is not required and was always told the agent had to get back to me. The person kept asking me how many bedrooms, bathrooms I wanted, where I was looking etc. There is no point in me answering questions if the other side can't even tell me if the agent works in my area of interest.

No, I don't, and I hate when those pop ups appear.
HOWEVER, I do like the ability to chat w/ someone when I choose to, especially on some technical sites. I have found them to be very helpful on places like Amazon Associates, hostgator/blue host, places like that. It has been a godsend at times, especially if I'm trying to get something done at 7pm or 8pm.
Many of those, BTW, also only have chat hours and turn off at certain times. I think 24/7 is overkill, esp if your clients are mainly US.
It works better when it's self initiated. I often click off of sites when I see the pop ups and noises, esp if it does it when I change pages.
