Not wondering about something I already know about and have participated in. I am wondering what your 2 questions have to do with each other?

It doesn't help bring in better prices in my market. Price them right and multiple offers will follow. Auctions eliminate a segment of the market.

Hi, Myers.
In Tallahassee, auctions are usually for foreclosures, distressed properties, stale on shelf, etc. In the outlying rural areas, large tracts of land are usually auctioned.
When/if I need an auctioneer, I will keep you in mind!

I generate multiple offers in my area without going through an Auction. Many in my area associate an Auction with distressed properties..not a good connotation for my clients.

There is one agent in my area that used to do this, but it's not really for me.

Not me, have not seen them really work out in the sellers favor so I would not use it.

I work with 2 banks that are using the auction platform to sell the REO listings they give to me. It works well with some, but delays sales in others Myers Jackson

Not wondering about auctions, been to many. Accelerated "offers due by X" marketing campaigns, those can work in hot markets when multiple offers are expected. I've used them a couple times when appropriate.

I do not know who ... I do know it is not me. No need for them in my market.

We've participated and brought buyers to several auctions, helped one buyer win the bid on one. We have a couple of good auction brokerages around here. We are a hot market right now so we see less homes sold that way now than we did several years ago. I'm assuming you are not talking about foreclosure auctions? We've participated in those as well. -Kasey

I don't do them either - they're typically not in the price range that my clients are in so, they're not part of my business plan.

I have purchased quite a few at auctions, but so far have not been successful selling them there.
