CPA - I wouldn't be able to work for 6 months if I had to try to figure out my taxes myself!  ;-)

Gave the stuff to my accountant January 30th.  Just awaiting their finish (and my tax bill :-).

I usually handle it myself. I have my tax folder on top of my desk but haven't yet started doing the work!

I have a CPA friend who does take care of my returns - for so many years.

Neither Dorie. I have an accountant but I put it off for awhile. There will have to be a big check to pay to Uncle Sam.

I usually do my own taxes and then have them reviewed afterwards. 

Dorie our company and personal taxes are already handed over to our CPA. My husband handles the financial side of the biz - thankfully.

Hi Dorie - Timely question. I spent all weekend and this morning getting the whole package ready for our CPA - a task I could make a lot easier just by doing the books every month like I'm supposed to : )

Only via a CPA and I hope to file early this year. No need to wait till April.

CPA.  I'm not in the business of keeping up with the nuances of tax code.  I prep and Excel workbook and supporting docs and give it to them.  Almost done, just need to tally Liz's volunteer miles and I'll be ready to turn it in :)

Dorie Dillard I am ready to get started. I use TurboTax and have used it since it first came out. The hard part is getting everything together which you need for an accountant anyway. Just fill in the blanks and electronically file.

We gather and sort and take to the accountant to plug into the his system. We are in the gathering stage.

I have an appoitment with my Accountant later today. 

We are too efficient! Everything was to the accountant last month. I've heard it said that we should always file for an extension because the odds of an audit drop dramatically. However, we were audited last year and are now immune for a while so it doesn't matter and I'd rather get it over with!

Our QuickBooks are coordinated with our CPA. We paid our taxes in 2016 for 2016 and funded our Defined benefit Plan in 2016 also. We file on time for corporate and personal.

One more thing to get together then we're good to go - we itemize no way I would do that on my own

Just about ready to hand over to my accountant... I input everything into Quicken which separates and totals everythng into categories.  Just waiting for my T4's and T5's to finish it off before sending off..
