How can a real business person kick an opportunity to the curb without seeing what is in play or how it can be leveraged.

As we are all supposed to know, the agreement between the agent and broker is NEGOTIATED.

Some see advantage in the Trump brand or others like Hillary, Obama, PETA, REALTOR, CANON, SMUCKERS, or Wholefood. We pick the horses with think we can ride.

I am happy with my current brokerage and don't believe they have an office in my area.

Could you toss in an unlimited supply of Trump steaks ???!!

I would definitely be open to an offer from them, but my guess, the split and fees would be really high. Also, here in CA it might not be that easy to get clients...

No. I don't need the hassle of dealing with the politcal overtones.

Hypothetically (since they are not in our geographic region), no I would not. I prefer not to mix my business with politics and it would be unavoidable when your company name is the name of the President.

Consider the company? I would look into it. This is a business I'm working on building. Make a change? Unsure - I'm happy now.

I am very happy where I am ... I enjoy my 100% split with myself. 

Consider it?  Possibly.  Depends on the contacts and training and relationships I could build through that organization that I couldn't on my own. 

Having said that, I can build an organization to compete.  :)

When they opened an office in Charlotte I was approached. I don't know if they still have a brokerage office in Charlotte. But frankly, it's been more years than I can count when a brokerage offered me a 50/50 split because I was considered a "top" agent in town. I mean, seriously?

Consider it?  Maybe.  Depends on all the circumstances.  We don't have one here, so if I had to move to the markets where they are the answer is no.  If they wanted to buy out my company and we'd continue to work under this brand, I'd talk about it.  Another time and another place? Possibly.  I wouldn't seek it out, but if "an offer that I couldn't refuse" was presented then of course I'd have to consider it. -Kasey

There is no such brokerage currently registered in Ontario.

Both of us are too independent to join any company.  They don't seem to have any trouble signing up sellers and buyers.  Is the brand a problem?  To some yes, and to others no.

Only using the name to open doors corp? T sells name to hotels and businesses without managing. I think the choice would make half the population run, so not a good idea. I know many people who went unpaid by the name

Nope, not my market & has nothing to do with politics. Didn't even know they had a brokerage honestly. 

Nope, not a chance! I was once approached by Trump Mortgage years ago about working with the. Glad I didn't. Now with Trump being President, they are too political for my taste. Glad I don't have to deal with this NAR code of ethics stuff. I don't have a problem with any agents just because they work there. It's the name and the reputation that I look at. It's the same reason I didn't name my company Hitler Mortgage. You get the idea
