99.999% of docs are signed electronically.  Exceptions are when I am working with a big bad bank that will not accept e-signed docs.  Thankfully, these days I don't work much with lending institutions. 

On-line is my preferred method.

I let my clients decide... Most of them choose E-signatures-but I guide them at the same time explaining what they're signing and always give them paper-copies. Except for disclosures I recommend in person.

However, most folks these days opt for convenience, so I use Docusign.  First time home buyers, though, almost always in person, even though we go through the contract and discuss at our first meeting in the event we need to go the online route.

I prefer email. I sometimes am asked to fax it & can. I have had banks reviewing the paperwork take issue with DocUSigned documents so if you can't fax or email me I am probably meeting you in person.

Fax is a distant past tool.  Not too many fax machine run on digital line. Email digi signed is often acceptable.  I see one bank is using it and before they want wet signature.
