In my opinion Wordpess would be best and you can have it built as you wish. Perhaps check with a couple of our lenders here - John Meussner , George Souto or Gene Mundt, IL/WI Mortgage Originator - FHA/VA/Conv/Jumbo/Portfolio/Refi

You can custom build a website using wordpress. Makes no difference if it's for realtors or lenders, it's the same process. You can also subscribe to package deals with companies like squarespace.

I would recommend you use a Wordpress site and design it or have someone do it for you. Then it is yours and customizable.

One of my favorite lenders, Yvette Clermont with Inlanta Mortgage, uses WordPress for her website. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out...
I like it because it is clean and simple.

I can't speak to this too well, Julia Lysenko (and Jeff Dowler), as my website (and much of its content) is dictated by my company. Many LOs experience the same. Mortgage companies are extremely concerned about violations of regulations, marketing, etc. ... so take a very serious and strong stance on individual LOs having independent websites. I do have my own URL .. even within my company website. I think that's important for marketing and branding purposes ... and in the event you would "move on" from your present company, you aren't losing clients and followers in great numbers ... JMO ...
Best of luck,
Gene

I use wordpress and have the template put together through 220 Marketing . They have excellent customer service, are reasonably priced, and the sites look good.

I prefer wordpress and either building your own or hiring someone to do it.

I'm not sure you're asking the right question here. You pay a provider to keep the site up & running. Not sure if you want MLS data.
If you're on Wordpress picking out templates it's like buying a set of tires & having no car -- you're not going anywhere!
