      They sponsor the food breaks at the Board meetings, classes, etc. so the least I can do is listen to their elevator speech and take their business card.

I see lenders often in the office, but they are welcome. They are providing a service and if they do their job and we can trust them, we will recommend them. I often hear stories of lenders letting their clients down - even some who have been in the business for years. There is always room to learn about someone new or someone with a new program which may help a specific client.

No, I like to hear they're approach, I'm fascinated by sales.

It's pretty rare around here Richard Weeks , I think most of them have all they can handle.

I don't run into too many of them but I do get constant emails from them.  And sometimes I wonder about the ones that came on strong and then fell off the face of the earth. I have no idea if they're still in the business.

Not really.  It's like us phoning expireds, knocking on doors, hitting up FSBOs to list with us and even phoning our sphere to see if they know anyone thinking of selling their home.  The consumer is our source of business and Realtors® are a lender's source.

Mine never asks me for business, but I do send him a lot of it.

No. Very few lenders ask for business anymore. Sometimes they sponsor events at NVAR or various title company offices as a way to promote themselves which i don't mind.

I wish lenders would see it as two way street

I let them know that I will send any referrals they give me back to them for loans.

I don't feel overwhelmed... and as they are much in the same boat as I am, I am always polite and thank them and tell them I'll keep them in mind.

Oh yes. I had one a few years ago that did a terrible job on a 203K loan. She was rude to my clients, and it took us over three months to close. She kept trying to make that up to me by being my best buddy when we ran into each other at various events. I couldn't stand it. She finally got the message and has left me along. 

Not really. If they don't ask I am not likely to ever give them a try. I want to be asked.

I dont mind. They are just working their business like we work ours. I tend to have patience with solicitors and salesman since I became a real estate agent. Everyone is just doing their jobs. Some do it better than others.-Kasey

Not really.  I get worn out by SEO companies calling wanting to put me on page one of Google.  

Interest rates will go up again soon they will call you more often.

I'm ok with that. It's not that bad. I'm just worn out from from the 15 to 20 odd calls per day from telemarketers and commercial recordings. The 'do not call' list means absolutely nothing.

I had to tell one guy enough AND I will call you if needed. He still had a comeback....lol

Nope. They are doing what they are suppost to. 

Sometimes it can seem "bothersome" or an interruption to my daily routine (although I understand, it is their way of staying in touch) especially when there are more lenders than buyers.  I feel bad that they feel the need to keep calling me.  I always like to utilize the lenders I have worked with in the past, but times have changed and I find many buyers come to me already pre-approved and so there is no need to recommend a Lender.

About as much as I get worn-out from realtors asking if I want to sell my house.

YES! I am tired of all the speakers at sales meetings being lenders, peddling the same products another lender was just peddling the week before. I am with Teri Pacitto, where do their referrals go, because I am not receiving calls from any of their clients.

No. That is what they need to do. However, this section is not the best place for those requests.

Be happy about it.  I would start to worry if they stop asking for my business.  That may mean something about me and the way I do my job.

Oh I still get calls, emails etc. but we have a lender in our office and I have a list of 5 others I'd use in a heart beat.... I always tell them nothing personal but I have my go to team in place.

Nope. Ours are very friendly and we enjoy visiting with them. Plus they bring snacks to the office!

It is inspiring to see those who are hustling to establish a meaningful life for themselves and those important to them.

And when coupled with probing, thoughtful questions, I interpret it as exceptional 'modeling' for growing business.

Get worn out? That WOULD apply to those who express righteous indignation at the thought of answering a knock at the door. Not everyone is a curmudgeon.

Agree with Sandy and Norm. And lenders here usually have lunch or breakfast or some type of networking/Lunch n' Learn they invite you to. Never experienced a cold call. Good relationship to have in case they have clients getting pre-approvals but don't have a realtor yet.

I do receive calls each and every week, and know they are trying to gain new clients.

To ask that question; it costs them lunch and I am not a cheap date.
