I would just continue on, I'm a tough Chicago cookie. My car is a tank in the snow which is the way I like it.

We are supposed to get 6" but I'm not believing it one bit.

Jean Marie and Wayne - well, if there was a forecast(and it wasn't April 1) for twelve inches of snow in my area, you better believe I would be in rescheduling mode.  Today's temperatures are predicted to be in the high 70s/low 80s and Tuesday even warmer.   

Depends on what's going on, most days i dont go far this winter so I am sure the snow will not bother me much.

Chicago may have 0-10 inches of snow on Tuesday depending on location. I am planning in advance on doing nothing that requires travel!

I would absolutely make sure to schedule a vasectomy on Tuesday.

I've already rescheduled mine.... rescheduled my workout routine with the thoughts of shoveling on tuesday (I shovel...dismissed my plow guy to get the workout)

I'd plan the day off.  If it snowed out here, I'd take the week off!

After the wind storm this past week; it will be in bed with the covers pulled over my head so I cannot see what is going on!

The actual weather is often different than the forecasted weather. You can always make telephone, video conferencing and other types of appointments. Also, why would you want to reschedule an appointment where the snow removal company is scheduled to drop by?

I wouldn't schedule any appointments for that day. Too many people can't drive in the snow around here.

I may be a good day to catch up on your calls and your paperwork.

I would plan my day to stay at home  and work on marketing.

I would probably plan as usual and adjust as necessary.  Even if it snows we could still do showings unless it was out of control. -Kasey

That much snow (or any snow for that matter) would shut my area down. I suppose it depends on whether you can effectively get around with that much white stuff on the ground. Personally, it would be stew in the crock-pot and me curled up with a good book kind of day. ;-)

Since we are warming into the 60s and 70s I will be thinking about your day at home.

Snow? What is this snow you speak of? Never too busy to serve your San Diego Referrals, we do so in 78 & sunny conditions most days here.

They are saying 12-18 here and I would say being on the road Tuesday will be a loss, so it will be day of indoor work and a chance to work on new listings and check all the current pending sales. 

I would not be making appointments to have to make time to reschedule. Lots of trouble for nothing. But that doesn't mean I'd be having a day off... just one focused on other kinds of work activities.

I do not allow a weather forecast to dictate my action.

12 inches of snow or 75 mph breezes will. I'll decide then.

The European model suggest NYC and Boston, not the NE quadrant predicted by the USA model. If I were to schedule some downtime, why not pick the time everyone else is hunkered down?

Sometimes you just have to demand Jean go out and handles showings.

Our forecast is for more than that; everthing is getting cancelled already for Tuesday and Wednesday is a question mark. Civil Air Patrol (I am a member) is on alert status.

In our area the 10" we had in January shut down most secondary , and neighborhood roads.  Thus, we'd reschedule outside appointments - except for photoblogging  trips!

I never have to answer questions like that in Florida but if I did it would be.... nice bottle of wine, some snacks... and chill.  Oh and appointments? What appointments?

Don't you just hate it when a Floridian answers a snow question!!!???

As an ex-northeasterner I can saw y'all got soft up there! We used to go out in any kind of weather back in the day. Not anymore I see!

Now we're looking at  24 inches of snow forecast for Tuesday 

I would reschedule any showings and then use the time to do the computer stuff that always gets pushed off; update contact/mail lists, create the next couple of mailer templates, etc

I'm just telling ya - our forecast for the past 2 days was for thunder storms and flooding - I'm still waiting....

No.  I have plenty of at home work planned for Tues (and Weds if needed).

Wayne and Jean - I probably would re-schedule for another day and that way I wouldn't have to worry about whether it was going to snow or not.

I wouldn't be going out in the middle of a storm!!

Knowing it's coming I would not make appointments and plan for another day.

I cannot relate to snow but I can rain.  With rain in the forecast it would not cause me to cancel or reschedule.  Often forecasts are not accurate.

I'd be proactive and set appointments on another date and time. 12 inches is nothing to take lightly.

I tried to reschedule a buyer a couple of weeks ago when a major RAIN event was coming. Nope, they wanted to go so we did. Turns out the rainstorm was about 12 hours LATE and we had a terrific day. If I'd rescheduled for the following day, we would have had mudslides, power outages, bridge down, etc.

Our weather forecasters are usually off, and unless a client wants to cancel, I keep appointments.
