Sometimes, I try to counsel enough at onset so we don't go there, but often their eyes and ears are closed tight.
Anthony Acosta - ALLAT...
Sure sometimes people aren't willing to see the real world .. help them if you can.
Yes, there have been times with both!
Yep. Then I introduce them to it's cousin: Never-Never Land. Ain't going to happen.
Yes. And those folks are generally working with someone else.
When you are invited into anothers world...you just never know.....
making it happen
So much of our job includes separating fantasy from reality.
The only place they believe it is correct to start!
Is that entrance sign for California?
I don't, but they do.
When the 3rd dream house is purchased by someone else, the take the next exit with signage reading "Last Exit for MAKE A REAL OFFER"
Sometimes - but never for long...
Buyers sellers and their agents.
Jack - Yes, that is a good one. Sometimes it is our job to bring them back to reality.
Oh yes, I have to add this to my listing presentation as an answer to some objections.
Jack Lewitz - I think it is LEFT.... let me check...
LOL oh yes. We are transporters.
From fantasy land to reality.
I feel like it, but I talk them down to earth or out the door pretty quick. I have no tolerance for work sitting on my web site and on my back burner!
YES - RIGHT NOW! Buyers who bought during the recession, now FULLY expect that they can negotiate on a house that is Day 0 on the market that WILL sell by the end of the day over list price! Calgon, take me AWAY!
Not often but I get it.
Like the buyer who wanted me to open the door to my $750,000 listing today so she could call her agent who would write the contract and credit 2.5% of the full commission back to her? Yup, as soon as I see unicorns fart glitter.
Absolutely but thank goodness it's not the norm Jack Lewitz .
I have been feeling that way lately. Buyers have been very challenging.
Yep, been there.
oh, yes.... the team members are listing agents and there are some homeowners who want to sell based on the future and buy based on 2008....
Rarely and that's no joke.
Unfortunately, too many times! Great sign!
Hahahahahah! And 'next right' I will not be!
Show 100 properties all not good enough. Each offer is rejected spend 3 months FT or work a listing done in a week. The choice is yours.
I think this happens often in the real estate world.
Nice sign for sure.
I don't believe that I do.
What is the route number so I may leave now!
Sometimes it takes quite bit of discussion and Q and A to help them understand, and face, reality and not take off in the wrong direction
Yes.. and it can be a job to have them make a left and not go to the land of make believe!
Jack Lewitz No, but working with some agents takes you to make believe land.
