My heart is alive with the sound of music but not my office.  

Paul - I wouldn't know because I never go to my office, although it is available to me. I prefer to work from home.

When I affiliated with an offer it was like a zoo of wild animals ... agents in cubicles having conversations on speaking phones, agents talking (yelling) across the room to each other rather than getting up and having a conversation ... (think conference room).... and why I could never work in the office environment.  TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS.   Yes, music was playing, fingernails were being painted, the list goes on and on.

My office recently is my home and I do not play music when I work.

TV news mostly. One can pay a fee and have a TV in his office.

Yes, but I don't often as I'm on the phone a lot.

Yes music is played very softly in the office. Agents don't play music separately. When at home I have it playing. 

No we don't have music playing surround type (don't know many offices who do) but that doesn't prevent you from playing Pandora at your desk or in your private office..I just don't choose too.

      None of the companies that I worked for back in the day allowed music in the office.  Too many cubicles, too many private rooms.  It would have been a cacophony.

We all have pretty much private offices and can play music. They have asked that we don't live stream music on the company connection as it uses up the bandwidth and slows our internet searches down.

Real estate office?  What is this office of which you speak? LOL  I can listen to my music or pod casts Virtually Anywhere.

Paul our offices are in our home so at times one of us will have music on but nothing loud or jarring. Most of the time we're on the phone and it gets kind of noisy - especially Mr Banana - just kidding!

Our office does not play background music. However, they do allow agents to have music in their offices, though it's rare anyone takes advantage of that. If someone wants to listen to music, they usually just plug headphones into their phones.

I play music in my office all the time. So long as I am not on the phone I find it motivational. 

Good question. I would think ear phones are the way to go. What if everyone plays their own music, or does someone choose? The antique store under my office sometimes puts her BBC news on pretty loud and it comes up through the wall. But then, I have people sitting in the courtyard below having a good time, and it just becomes white noise. But to have someone come into my office and start playing music? Not big enough of a space.

I allowed music, at low volume, in private offices and earphones in cubicle spaces for those that desired!

No background music but, agents can play whatever music they want to play in their own office space!

There is one agent that plays his radio at the office if it is too loud the hearing aids come out!

At home, if the better half is here there is something on and as at the office the hearing aids come out!

Yes we have RM elevator music or is that balloon music? We are also allowed to play music but it has to be low in our office. Every once in awhile someone decides to rock out.

I walk into my office maybe once or twice a month and have never paid attention... but I don't think so. And I have no idea about what agents can or can't do in their private offices, as I don't keep one at my brokerage (we have no cubicles). Considering what they pay to have a private office, I would think they can do whatever they wish in them with respect to music.
