Years ago I used them for clients who lived far away who wanted to take advantage of govt cost share programs.

These days with docusign and other apps, there is no real need to assume that liability.

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at... A POA is used when the principal is absent, but what do you mean by "exceptions"?
