All the time. Makes me crazy but also reminds me of the pastor of the church I grew up in. If you pronounced Trinity TRINUTTY it irritated him beyond belief! Now let us all sign the doxology 😜

Happens all the time and I just look right past it. What annoys me are people who write Realtor and not REALTOR®

I hear that pronunciation more from non-realtors Karen Jones Lewis, MBA, Realtor. I can remember in Real Estate School, that was probably the first comment that I heard from my instructor - how to pronounce that work - HA!

Many times it depends what part of the country one is from. I hear Real-tor, i hear real - ah - tah and real - a - tor. I know what they mean....

No, but many times Real-a.ter is what I hear a lot. Makes me cringe...but then again, many things make me cringe in this business.

We have a problem at out board with some people and they get upset if it is pronounce wrong.
1,078,091
I've lived in enough places with different accents (northeast, south, midwest, southwest) to brush it off, but oh yea. I've heard Realtors pronounce it Realitter, pretty common around Philadelphia.
1,624,653
It does not bother me at all. A lot of people have different kinds of accent( me included) and it does not bother me at all, I'm not interested who is the person is than how they pronounce certain words.
1,506,013
Forget the agents, most of the public out here says it that way. Personally, as someone who's name is Ryan and who's been called Bryan his whole life by people and who's last name has been pronounced "Higgins" more times than there are gold bars in Fort Knox, I don't give a crap how I or anyone else pronounces it. All they need to know is 805.905.4000 to list their house!

My Realtor grandparents would have corrected you on the spot, they hated that pronunciation.
But Americans miss pronounce a lot of words like they say daily. As a retired DJ and student of the Japanese culture, my biggest pet peeve is how you all mispronounce Karaoke.
You say "CARRY-O-KEY" when it's pronounced "Kara-O-Kay". How you ever got "Carry" from "Kara" is beyond me. Oh, I have a whole list

LOL, not in my parts - but maybe I don't want to hear it. But go to dictionary.com and it's pronouced [ree-uh l-ter, -tawr\, but I understand it's supposed to be ˈrēl-, -ˌtȯr\

Yes indeed. Yesterday I saw an advertisement on TV (we were in Delaware and I'm not sure who it was for) and they said "real-a-tor". I told the TV that's not how it's supposed to be pronounced. Lot of good that did!
