No direct correlation - Fb is like a billboard, simply a reminder that I'm here -

Yes...it can be a very cheap and effective paid form of online marketing. Both boosts and FB ads have netted me clients.
The best advice I can give you is to try a couple of $20 hyper-local targeted boosts/ads and find out if they are something you believe will help you achieve your online goals.
UPDATE...came back and was not surprised that roughly 85% of those commenting are not boosting articles on FB. It is probably similar, or higher in your market Karen. All the more reason to hone your skills and use FB boosts in your marketing. It takes effort to go against the grain, especially in this industry, where so many follow the herd without knowing or understanding why they are doing so.
A wise marketer once told me to do what others are not doing, and when they notice and start to mimic your actions, do it better and more consistently. Clients will come.

Can I honestly say that I closed a deal using a boosted post on FB? No. But like all advertisement the value is getting people to see the advetisement. I have used FB advertising and will continue to use it because it gets both me and the property that I am advertising noticed.

Yes, more so in property management. I use it more to respond to people's posts in our neighborhodd group. They will post that they are moving and are looking for managemetn. I can also post rentals there so it keeps the visibility up.

I was listening today to a marketer expert who said, if you have no result on FB, double your budget! FB is so far is one of the cheapest marketing over there.

Not yet, but I filled a rental showing with 8 couples in one day by doing so and I've driven up to 75 people to my live Podcast broadcasts when we do go live with celebrity guests.

If you share your blogs to FB, do it manually. Upload the photo first, then paste the link to the blog post.
I am no longer active on FB, for a host of reasons.

Not directly, but then again, I wouldn't know if someone picked it up that way and had their agent show them one of my properties and subsequently purchased it.

Not by boosting posts but, by sharing with my sphere on FB - it's really about the personal touch and that works for me. I can't say that boosting doesn't work though. I only boost a post when I want to get the word out to more people and haven't really pinned a Closing to any FB boosted post.
Anita Clark can give you the low-down on FB boosting though - she is the QUEEN!

I do not use FB boosting.
However, I DO advertise on FB and that effort has proven to be profitable.

I've not done that.... that's not a prime place for individual lists for spending money, in my opinion.... when we put our subdivisions on the market, we will be doing that....we have two coming...

I have two listings that have been on the market for a while now, and have boosted a few posts, THOUSANDS of views, and did not improve the showings, nor did it sell my listings.
1,502,998
Nope. I know of some who claim to have found buyers through open house ads there, but so far I have not.
I personally do not boost posts anymore. FB only wants so much of your content to show in people's feeds (roughly 35% according to some). I would boost posts for listings/etc. and would get traffic to my site but it never turned into anything. I also found that after I boosted a post, my next 2 posts would get almost no views. Facebook essentially hides them, either to keep the business content to the 35% mark or to penalize you into boosting more posts.
I do targetted ads now. Working MUCH better.

No, I only use free social media. I've found renters and even Landlords this way but I've never made a sale.

While I can't connect a closing directly with FB I can tell you that it's a very effective pilar of my marketing. It definitely helps to keep me top of mind in our market and has been the catalyst to more than one conversation. Post boosts are CHEAP and get me in front of thousands of people. It's all about recognition right?

Great question Karen Jones Lewis, MBA, Realtor I'm following to see what the masses are doing. I had good results boosting post for rentals.
