Foruth time this question has been asked in four days. And we won't even get into how many times this question has been posed/answered in past several months... dozens of times!  The qualities have not changed since previous answers were provided. Why not go check them out?

To each his own - some like a lot of training; others prefer a reputable broker with a culture that suits their needs. It's really up to you to find what is important to you in a broker.

Make your own list as to what is important to you. Surely you have an idea or you wouldn't be pursuing a career in real estate.

This is something yo should have gone through in class long ago.

One that is willing to train you on a weekly bases.  Talk to their agents also and ask them how there broker helps them.

Hi Elisabeth Flores. Of course this question will be asked repeatedly. I am happy to respond.

I have been licensed for 11 years. I started with Coldwell Banker and remained with them for 7 years until I branched off on my own. I would say three things:

1. Mentorship - Do they offer a mentor to guide you and lead you?

2. Training program - Do they offer an in-school training program? and last but not least

3. Marketing program - Do they show you how to make the most of offline and online marketing?

For me I have a good relationship with my previous broker. The only way you can tell is speaking with them one-on-one. All the best to you.

This is a personal preference. Everyone has different needs in their business which is why there are so many brokerages and so many different business models.  Of course the broker should be knowledgeable, available and honest. But what are YOU going to need?  Mentorship? Coaching? Training? Office Space? Signs & Business Cards? Leads and clients handed to you? A Team? Receptionist/Transaction Coordinator Available?  The question isn't what is most important, the question is What is most important to YOU. Good luck! -Kasey

Forget the broker. Align yourself with an experience tenured agent who does it day-in day -out, perhaps in a team. Work out a deal. Then you'll have a one-on-one. With a broker, your time is shared with multiple other agents, sometimes hundreds, no one-on-one. And many/most brokers are less experienced than tenured agents, and make a fraction of the income.

Find someone that can mentor you and that has strengths you do not.

Select the office that will best meet your personal needs.

Interview with a couple of brokers/office managers and ask about their new agent training program.  Talk with some newer agents in those offices too. Find the right match for your needs.
