That's an extremely good question; I do not understand it myself. Some people just like to complain, which is actually hazardous to your health.

That would be a person "who is gratified by pain, degradation, etc., that is self-imposed or imposed by others".  That is called being a masochist.  

Or... perhaps it is someone who takes pleasure in trying to point out how stupid we are for spending time in Q&A.   That is called being a sourpuss.

Not sure that I've felt the same way... that people don't like being here... but I can understand why people sometimes are less than pleased with some of the questions, especially those posed dozens of times by the same anonymous Utah students. I personally don't believe this is the form for them to keep using for their studies.

Whew,  I have seen some real toxic comments about the questions here and the comments made by point hors ... and how no referrals will ever be made to those perceived to be unworthy.  

Unlikely some will become contributors ... yet anything is possible. 

The real question in my mind ... is why are there here if they don't like it and perceive no value?  

There are Trolls under every bridge.   Ignore them and move on.

I'm with Scott Godzyk .  I pick and choose.  Some Q&A seem like a point grab but others seem very relevant.

My thought is if i dont like the question, i skip it. I think some people just like to complain though.

There will always be those with a negative perspective. They are found in many real estate offices.

I'm not sure either. It would seem that if you hated a particular forum that much you would stay away from it. I really don't like FB all that much so I don't participate as others do.

Just personal preferences. I also prefer not to be a curmudgeon.

This is not an issue where I have a lot of concern as I learned from Susan Emo in this section -- "I keep my eyes on my own paper".

I think the vast majority like it and those with a sour attitude are just trying to find their way.

Some people are just unhappy and like to spread it around.

I hate the AR Q&A, mostly because it's not geared toward helping the public for the most part, and also most posts don't offer anything for pro's, either....it's the proverbial water cooler, with watered down content.

I stop by and contribute for points, to answer questions where I can bring some value to the table, and occassionally pose a Q when there's something I know the community can help with.

I stick around, but I'd probably crack a smile if the Q&A section disappeared tomorrow.  NOW, if it were geared toward the general public answering questions and being able to answer THOSE, that would be a huge plus for the platform...
