Not me, but Chase offers these kinds of benefits and great security.

Nope, can't say I like my phone having anything to do with my money.

Yes, It's great. It's owned by PayPal so they have experiance with mobile money. I see a lot of comments about security, but phones are pretty secure these days. You can set a phone to use a findger print or pass code. I have debit and credit cards anyone can use right away if they find them as there is no auth on them. Seems safer to me to use something with an auth barrier to entry.

ROFL I love this thread. Literally, everyone I know in California uses Venmo. It's far more useful than my chase app and much easier to use.

Yes, and yes. Started because it's a ridiculously convenient way to pay for dining out with a group (one person pays, everyone else venmos there on the spot). Now, I use it for transferring to just about everyone I know.
And I believe paypal purchased them, so the security should be about as good as it can get.

Dorie Dillard - never used it. Need to check how safe and easy this app is.

No, have not tried this app. I used paypal in the past, sounds similar.

Yes, Dorie Dillard! We kept my youngest son on our phone plan (much cheaper than him getting his own) and instead of him giving us a check each month, we use Venmo. He can deposit directly into our account there. Easy-peasy!

I had a client try to send money though this and he swore it worked great. He ended up sending a money order.

Dorrie our network treasurer uses some kind of app so that everybody can put money into the groups account - easily. The name of it isn't coming to mind but I'll find out and let you know.

Someone asked me that who was paying some tools. I have not checked it out

I don't use it but thought I'd see out there who does...looking through the comments definitely the younger generation feels comfortable with it.

My phone is always trying to push me into various apps to pay bills and stuff. I resist all attempts.

beyond my paygrade....another reason I'm thankful I just do marketing!!!

One of the members of my YPN committee used it last year. I'm not a huge fan of that type of app. I still prefer to just pay someone in cash. Plus, as Joe Pryor stated, many banks offer this service and it has more security.

I didn't know and I don't know if friends do. I clearly don't. I would be pretty mistrustful of security

Dorie,
It is the last thing I would do. With all the hacking that goes on, apps are definitely not safe. A

Never heard of it and don't know of anyone who uses it. But then again, I don't move money via any app.
