There is no easy way to do all at once. But, individually, the easiest way is to do it one by one and copy the html from wordpress, start a new post here and go to the <> section and plop the html in there. Then, you'll just need to do a bit of formatting.
I don't think you can back date, but you can schedule and forward date.
BTW, I'm not sure I understand the logic here and honestly it sounds like a super big mistake. Most people should be doing the opposite - much better for SEO, customer leads/retention. (assuming you have your own self hosted wordpress.org blog).
Debe's suggestion generally makes sense...IF you were keeping your site. But, I'm not sure if it's right thing to do since you're not as you then will have a whole bunch of broken links.
I would not expect much if anything from this endeavor as all of your content on here would be duplicate content.
It might work if you did it and then did 301 redirects on your current site.
But, to me this is a recipe for disaster and a big mistake. Definitely not good for SEO.

I would first ask you- is this a matter of convenience to move everything over to Brivity and AR? Is that your #1 reason for doing this?
If your wordpress site sucks and has no SEO value, then you won't lose anything because you do not have anything to lose.
But if you have ever gotten any good SERPS, any calls, any contacts - from your wordpress blog- I would insist you keep it.
But also, is your wordpress blog on the free wordpress.com platform or is it a website with a blog on the wordpress.org platform?
Because that would also weigh on your decision.
If you have no SEO value to your WP blog, and you don't care to have any in the future, then by all means copy and paste the HTML code from each post and add to your AR blog, following Debbie Gartner 's advice.
If you have SEO value to your blog- I would keep the blog. You are then choosing convenience over leads and business.
I don't agree with 301 redirects. Google does not like them at all. They will demote your site in most cases for using the redirect. They like broken links less, but either way- not a good solution. You will drop in SERPS but of course, you can build it back up over time. Hope this helps.

I think you would need a developer to create a custom solution.
You can transfer content from any platform to another. Just takes some code. WordPress offers an API that will output your posts for programatic consumtion and adjusting. Handleing for any discoved formatting issues for example.
Active rain does not have an open API, but can be accessed programaticly using a headless browser libray. This could copy the content and submit the post.
As for back dating that isn't something offered up as an option normally. Dates in a data base are normally set upon entry to the db. So to insert past dates could cause an issue depending on the db structure.
Good luck!

Darren Giordano - transfer through HTML code should be relatively easy. Back-dating may not be, though.

No way to do this easily and I believe you can back date posts - but the real question is why would you want to?
If it were me I would not

I was going to say, "Don't leave WP!" but I read Debbie Gartner's excellent answer, and saw your reply.
Perhaps Anita Clark or Nestor & Katerina Gasset Katerina will weigh in with some additional suggestions.

I typically only post one at a time from my WP site - I'm not sure about back-dating but, whatever you do, be sure to use the line 'Originally posted at _________' (the blank being the link back to your original post on your website).

That is interesting that Brivity is going to merge in the ActiveRain platform. That sounds like a sart move.

There is no way to do this. I'd suggest keeping your original wordpress install up on another website (GiordanoBlog.com or something like that) or even a wordpress.org install and point the brivity blog link there (if that's possible).
To me, this all seems like a step backwards.

Darren,
I am not sure you can. Perhaps, it would be help to contact Active Rain support and get their opinion on this. A

I don't think you can transfer other than manually nor backdate. Heed the advice from Debe Maxwell, CRS

I don't think that importing easily from WP is available. 'Supposedly' it is available the other way around - AR to WP but I don't have any idea if it actually works out.
No backdating that I've figured out. System won't allow a date change so to speak.

Ask either AR support of WP expert Jonathan Denwood and no, I'd use Debe Maxwell, CRS 's suggestion, back dating has not existed otherwise to my knowledge.
