I just spoke to my son who is in Groveland, and he's preparing now.... they have a generator, phone chargers that don't need power and a laundry list of other preps they're doing .... he's always prepared for the worst...

Florida brokers have lots of experience with hurricanes. 

Have no listings yet but send clients email and text to let them know I care for them. Get prepared and stay safe! Storms and hurricanes are unpredictable and the rain it brings could lead to flooding.

Seems like a good month to move up North, I have some properties to show you Fred.

I'd imagine hurricane prone areas know how to prep annually.

I already talked with some of my clients and posted on fb "the most have for a hurricane" I'll be calling more people tomorrow.

It is crazy in Jupiter the last two days, the store shelves are empty and no gas.

I am VERY concerned for our relatives in FL. Stay dry!

Hi Fred -- the increased attention to being prepared for the arrival of Irma is evident in California too.  I hope this storm falters before landing.  Be prepared.  Stay safe.  

I haven't even gotten over my worries of people and family I know in the Houston area... now I need to worry about you guys in Florida! I do hope people are preparing in advance. Knowing you, Fred, I'm guessing you're as ready as anyone can be.

It a bit hard to miss this directive since it all the talking heads are babbling about. That being understood, I don't ask or encourage 'Prepping." Either they are or they are not. They made that decision long ago.

What do I do? If 'Evacuation' is announced, I will inquire if they have a place to go. THEN I can help if needed.

The last time 'EVACUATION' was announced, coastal folks headed to Orlando only to be intercepted by the storms change of direction.

The REAL criteria is storm surge and how long one can hold their breath.

Of course 50 inches of rain can not be prepared for or evacuated away from.

And the super storm pattern is irreversible, but can become worse if nothing is done.

Take this storm seriously. Not looking good for Florida. If you can, take a road trip!

I hope agents are advising people to evacuate before it is too late.

Fred,  I just cannot let myself think about this.  My heart is so heavy and sad for all the loss and devastaion.  I would do whatever I could if I lived there. And for certain help others as well.

Taking signs down later this morning and calling as many as I can.

It's looking pretty nasty. Let's hope she takes a turn and avoids us completely.

Fred Griffin - this is getting worse...

Get in a car, plane, train, bus or boat and head north.

We own a condo in the panhandle and are concerned for its safety. We will have to wait and see.

If anyone plans on riding it out the need to put their heads between their knees and kiss their A$$ goodbye!!!!
