If the condition of the property goes down the toilet, so will the value.

It is pretty obvious.

A poorly managed property can allow tenants to wreak havoc on the condition and the neighborhood.

In my experience, the better condition of the property and a building in general, the higher demand and price. 

The economic approach to appraisals.

Not keeping the property in good condition, and letting the property remain un occupied.

They can mis manage the property, fill it with non pying tenants and drop the value in half. OR they can manage properly, fill with good tenants, maintain the property and increase its value

If the property is not well maintained or it has bad tenants residing in the home, it can dramatically decrease the property value.

If you need to ask this question, you have some major challenges.

   They only collect the rent and scrape off their percentage.  They never drive by or go inside to see if the tenant is damaging the house.  

By keeping it in the good condition.

when trying to sell a home across from a rental where the tenants do not keep up the property and LOOKS like a rental.

Make it or break it!

I think the worse the property management, the better opportunity for buyers. There are some great bargains out there, but you have to act fast. Now the tenants will be another issue, but my boys have that problem covered.
