I keep dog treats in the trunk of my car ... not sure it relates necessarily to real estate ... but we just never know.

I have so much stuff in my toolbox - compass, 100 foot tape, laser room measurer, 5 lb sledgehammer, outlet tester, duct tape, metal tape, gloves I never wear . . . probably the most unusual is bailing wire - need it often to keep signs anchored to fences or wherever when it's super windy.
And bungee cords. Because . . . ya never know when you'll need to restrain someone . . . er, uh, something.

Since the snow flies up north, I keep the following in my car November-April:

Shovel, snow brush, ice scraper, sand, boots, hat, gloves, extra jacket with hood and wool blanket, just in case.

I carry a fly swatter in the shape of a house ... in my purse and in my car to give to clients in the Spring, Summer and Fall months -- always a big hit with the clients!

Wow, wish I had one of those. Around here we need them on a 6 ft pole or so to go into the sidewalk 'cirle' thing.

All I got is a tennis racket for hitting my dogs balls in the park.

I use Hiya which is a free phone app that shows me spam calls. Saves a lot of anger management time.

Toilet paper, because you just never know.  I like the water key idea, I have a few of those combo ones at home, I should add that to my tool bag.  I do carry smoke detectors and CO detectors when I go to an appraisal.

Never heard of a water key. I actually carry very little in the trunk of my car, but do have (1) a 100 foot measuring tape and (2) a large rubberized mallet with which to pound my signs into the ground and (3) WD-40 to loosen up pesky key locks.

I still carry a Yellow Pages. Even though you can find almost everything via the internet, sometimes you just do not have good internet access or you can't find what you are looking for.

My toolbox is pretty light - a laser for room measuring and a flashlight.  I'll read through and see what might be a nice add...
