I have a quick email auto-response on my website but also get back to people asap in a more personal way. No texts, no voicemail as auto responders... hate getting those and assume that other people do, as well.

Such options also serve to separate the kickers from those who are seeking what you are offering.

Instead of chasing every vapor, use responders to 'squeeze' by upping the game and the quality of the lead you will chase.

Be aware, an auto-response can contain information to condition the recipient to what you will do next. Very often a response stating, "I will drop by Saturday at 1PM" will get them to call you. Doesn't get any better than that if one has any telephone skills.

I just came back from a week long conference on marketing funnel automations and the response to bots has been nothing short of hugely successful when done correctly.  

In fact, one of the business owners there said they programmed their bot to even say: " Hey, I'm Suzy -a robot- if you would rather talk to a human I will get you one right now, but I am actually much funnier." 90% of all the people connecting with the bot say they want to talk to the bot! 

There is such amazing data out there on all this AI. 

AI is here to stay. I will choose to embrace it and find it extremely exciting!!!

The auto response we utilize is for those who register on our company website. If unclaimed, the next agent on rotation gets the lead in 15 minutes, so the agents are motivated to claim them.  However, the follow up is personal and persistent and consistent and can lead to a new client.

I do the responding most of the time!  With today's online leads, if you aren't responding in a minute or so, they are responded to by another agent.  We know they are likely on multiple sites.
