I'm not even the least bit camera shy. 😇We went through this a long time ago using Skype a lot. For messaging, it's too much trouble. My written and spoken word is more powerful without a live physical image. And I'm not always ready for showtime either. LMAO

Thank you for doing the validation testing Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 - I am not a fan of the camera (if I am in front of it) or video. I suspect the major reason I am so turned off by it is the OBSESSIONS people seem to have with the camera ... selfies ... look at ME ME ME ME ME.  It's like junkies on steriods with self-obsession.  

I am not camera shy ... I feel video is over-used. It's become just another someone yammering in front of the camera ... look at ME! 

The good ones have backend meterics to allow you to test effectiveness.

Second, the ones that I've seen really don't give me really good info. It's just sort of a mortgage/real estate related hello. Not really worth watching. 

Third, recipient should not say 'well that was a complete waste of time' after viewing.

I use video email and text weekly; I like being able to customize my graphics that frame the video and it should be a system that doesn't trigger spam filters.

I've not used video email....but I'll check out what you have to say about it...

I have never used video email. 

I use a lot my iphone for video messages. I send my property tours, inspection update, congratulations with closing, anything. And I'm not shy to use facetime, skype, facebook talk if necessary. Yet, I did not yet turned into auto messages, I need to prerecord those. 

Quick communication/reminders only - person-to-person and it works for me. I'm not good on that side of the camera - I MUCH prefer to be the one holding the camera!

I would like to know what you used for the videos you did last week - those looked really sharp, Annette.

     I am not camera shy.  But email marketing with me as the star is not presently on my "to do list".

These are my personal views on the subject:

Email is meant to be words on a page, not video.  Get facetime or Android Duo for that.  Video and podcasts are considerably slower than my reading speed and for that they will forever be a disliked form of communication.  Video's purpose is to demonstrate an action, building a webpage, installing a backup generator to your house, performing a cooking technique, etc.  It is not a "Hey, what's up.  Here's the latest in the market" communicaiton method.  If you want actual "face time" go take people out for lunch/coffee or god forbid... DOOR KNOCK!  When I open up an email, the last thing I want to see is someone's ugly mug and hear their god awful voice.

The only reason I don't is because I don't have the time to dedicate to it consistently.

I feel it serves its purpose but not sure how to best utilize it.

Still not a fan

Bomb Bomb is the most popular video tool for emailing video. Customers love it, especially when it is personalized for them. 

I love video, use it all the time, although now I am moving more to FB live and YT live. 

We do explainer videos and doodles too. But I prefer using my mac as always with keynote or screenflow. 

I am not camera shy because I was a teen model and actress. However, I am super overweight now - which happened somehow when I reached menapause, and so I don't like to be full length in front of the camera but face and talking is just fine. 

We do a lot of stills that we turn into video and video clips mixed in with stills to get better attention resetting.
