Seriously, it depends upon what I'm doing! I love a phone call but, if I'm on the phone or doing something that I hate to stop working on, I love a text then too! Either way is absolutely fine with me!

It depends. A quick text is great if it's quick and simple. What I cannnot stand are people that want to have a long conversation via text as if I have time to sit and type a long message, wait a minute or two for their next message, then type another response, then wait a minute or two for their next message...

Yes .... I now find that a phone call takes too long. I now have less patience than I did before which isn't good.

Text seems to be getting more popular these days, which is good. Just depends on topic. Some conversations are too long for texting, so call or send an email.

It depends.  If it is short and sweet ... a text will do. 

If the text is a paragraph in a book ... I feel a phone call is most appropriate.  If I get text like that ... I will respond with a phone call. 

 If it is breaking news I better not be receiving a text!!!! It all depends on the context of the conversation...if I am looking for a quick answer, I prefer text...any other correspondence I want a phone call

Although reluctant at first, it has become clear others prefer texting so I must also.

Sure, because I can actually think about the subject in the text before I call back.  And it's an easy way to ask a quick question and get an immediate response. 

I am flexible in response to what is appropriate at that time.

i love a text... it's today's version of voicemail, and comes with the added benefit of a "paper-trail".

Prefer the text usually... as this will allow me to respond at a convenient time when I can be focused.  Last thing I want to do is pickup a phone call in a middle of a conversation... or a good football game ;)

It depends. Sometimes I prefer to hear a voice and hear how they say something. Inflection and tone is not well reveived via a text. There are times the text is preferred though.

I'm leaning more towards texting in my advanced years! Of course I loathe to text as I find it tedious and demanding. But it is THE way for me to get a message quickly to a client. I always have to make sure how THEY communicate. I have some aging boomers who don't even do email! Gasp!
