I didn't know that. Interesting tidbit. We haven't had a live tree in a very long time as we all would suffer from allergies. One live tree that we planted after Christmas almost 40 years ago is very, very large now.

I've got enough of that sap on the hood of my car, from parking under pine trees at a client's house.  No, thanks.

Not a question of remembering, Richie... as I never knew this in the first place. Then again, haven't had a live tree in my house for decades!

I did not buy real trees for many years.... my  thought: the less people buy, the less trees will be cut and trashed.

I read your comment, and tried it on our plastic tree and it didn't work!

Just my X-Mas humor, we always buy or in this year's case, cut down our own tree. Love the smell it gives off. We have a X-Mas Tree farm just 2 miles from our house and you can cut down your own tree, (any size) for $25.00. I can't even get a fake one for that!

I enjoy the scent of a real christmas tree every year.  We plant afterwards, we buy a live tree with a root ball, not a cut tree.

I was not aware of that! You learn something new every day! We do a fake tree inside but hang a real wreath on the door. I love the way it smells when I open the front door as the smell stays between the front door and storm door.
