New Years Eve is not a special night for me.... I'll workout in the morning and have no special plans for the rest of the day.... New Years Day is usually a brunch gathering for the family.... my eyes are closed by 9:30pm on new years eve....

I will be chilling with some champagne ... relaxing and setting my mind for an amazing 2018.  It is always an early night for me ... in bed by 10pm. However I am always awakened by the fireworks and people otherwise making massive noise banging pots and pans and screaming whoo hoo happy new year and heavens only knows what else. I just wait for it to stop so I can go back to slumber.

No, New Year's Eve and Day have never been a big thing for me. I don't do New Year's Resolutions, and prefer a quiet night at home so that's probably what we'll do.

For some reason, I do always get a kick out of the first time I write a new year as a date on a check or other document.
