Vasquez Rocks on the way to Palmdale is a must for any true Trekkie (it's where they shot the famous episode with the Gorn) and it's also where Bill and Ted had a most bogus journey fighting the "evil uses" from the future.  Yeah... the second movie stunk, but it did have some good one-liners like "Dude, you gave Death a wedgie!" and "Don't fear the Reaper <guitar solo>"

Hard to say as there are so many. Living here in SoCal, the California desert, especially Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, is a must.

In Illinois, Starved Rock State Park or a visit to the Galena Territory for the weekend. And, as always, Chicago offers museums and shopping!

If one had to come to New York it would be Letchworth State Park.

Good question and I would have to think about it.

It would take a long time to cover the treasures of Wisconsin, what types of things are you looking to do when you come over for a visit?

Well, I have tons of recommendations for Los Angeles and Valleys, or for CA in general. I think, we have a lot of fun places to visit.

In Florida - Miami, if you like vibrant, cosmopolital areas. In CT, or tristate area, of course New York City, for same reasons. In CT - if you like quaint New England, almost any area near lakes e.g. Candlewood Lake, our largest.

Boston indeed is a good place...

Asheville, Mount Airy, NC wine country... we have tons of places to go and that's just in NC. Then there's Charleston in SC.

I am a native Californian.  There are so many things to see and do in my area and state.  That said, I have to go to the dark side and say that the homeless and all the trash makes living here a challenge.  It is sad and sometimes depressing. 

Oh, North Carolina is filled with golden nuggets but, none more shiny than CHARLOTTE!! Y'all are all welcome any time of the year, any day of the week!

anywhere on Cape Cod... I'll see you there... Dennis or Dennisport are my favorite..... we stay on the beach in a condo with a private beach in Dennisport....

It is unclear if your question is where I would go or where to send others with some assurance they would be thrilled.

Others of course are sent to Disney after 3 days. 

As for me, I would put on the sneakers, grab the camera and head into the Everglades for scenes only .01% of 1% will ever have the courage to see.

Or....perhaps take the less adventurous on a kayak journey on the Weekie Watchie.

But where to they say they want to go when 1, 2 and 3 are declined?????

I'm very involved in my community.  And next to Lake Sinclair as a destination for a vacation in Georgia I'd have to say Savannah and Helen are my other favorites.

Texas is a big state with lots of good cities to visit but there is no place like Austin! Austin is the capital and the hill country is a must see.

Andrew Mooers I live in Northern Virginia so I would have to say the sites in our Nations Capital.

Key West is a great place to visit.

The Chesapeake Bay - definitely!

 Florida has more Ritz Carlton hotels than anywhere in the world.  Plus the Boca Raton Club, the Breakers, and so many others.

  We have hundreds of miles of beaches.  The Everglades.  Countless freshwater springs, creeks, lakes, swamps, and rivers.  Miles and miles of orange groves south of Lake Wales.  Pennekamp Park coral reef.  Surfing at Sebastian, Cocoa Beach, and St. Augustine Pier.  Oldest cities in the United States are Pensacola and St. Augustine.  Civil war battlefields at Natural Bridge and Olustee.  St. Augustine Alligator Farm.  Seminole Indian Wars battlefields.  St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. The Cathedral of Palms, which is an old-growth forest of palm trees not far from Tallahassee.  The Florida Trail.  The Daytona 500.   Miami Beach.  Fort Lauderdale.  Naples.  Venice. Panama City Beach and Destin.  Saltwater fishing.   Freshwater fishing.  Hunting.  Ocala / Marion County horse country.  On and on the list goes!
