The easiest way is to just not have a problem with people. I mean, what's the freaking point.
If we can't empathize and understand that we may not agree but we also can't likely comprehend where they've been, then the problem is with us.
Come from love, use some humor and let It the F go

I just ignore at the end of the day. All this toing and froing in AR does not put money in my pocket. It's the least important part of my daily activities.

Honestly, I ask myself if it will matter to me in 5 years. If not, it would be a waste of valuable time to pursue a discussion.
If the issue does hit me and it matters to me, it's a quick comment back or perhaps a short discussion. However, I would address the issue head-on.
No sense sugar-coating it with a compliment first - just approach it in a non-attacking manner and it's typically well-received. It all depends upon the open-mindedness of the parties involved.

In the case to which you refer, I ignored it because it had no place here. If I do disagree with someone and feel compelled to respond I do it, as much as possible, with tact explaining my position and let it go at that. I don't engage in the pi**ing matches that often results from the other party receiving an opposing opinion.

It's overly opinionated, borderline narcissistic people who have to debate everything. Then they'll demonize you when they started it. Keep it positive or STFU.

I think that sometimes you will be disappointed at the shallow answers provided. To be honest, sometimes your questions hurt my head. I appreciate you wanting me to put on my thinking cap on but sometimes ... it's just better left in the trunk.

The only kind of "criticism" I would make would be about an idea or fact, never about a person. So my comment wouldn't be a "I've got a problem with you!" but more like "Hey, I disagree with that fact!"
So, based on your above example in #2, I might say, "Interesting! I would add that it's important for parties who are interested in investing in Bitcoin to understand the speculative nature of their purchase. They could lose their money." I wouldn't ask for feedback though. If someone has feedback, I'm sure they'll share.

On Bitcoin I typically add it is my personal opinion. That opinion is I look at investments like Bitcoin or Gold as speculation. It's a bit like buying heavbily into a stock that Motley Fool says is going through the ceiling. I do my best not to think for other people.

Annette,
As we see it, they are not asking for my opinion. Live and let live! Many have asked us for feedback in our field of expertisee. My answer is pretty standard and it is true for me. I don't know their market, and what they are trying to achieve. If they are happy with their results, who am I to dispute it? Why would I rain on their parade? A

I had a real estate website founder and promoter say many disparaging things about me on ActiveRain after not reading my profile properly. I had to let the general Active membership know about this (did a couple postings that I left up temporary) and let them see what kind of fool this guy IS. I had to fight fire with fire...meaning public exposure. Great support from ActiveRain management in this situation!
His website isn't anything special (kind of unfocused) and will not survive for the long term, it will eventually collapse.
I love exposing these types! Sometimes the mission is a must to protect the unsuspecting public.

Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 I have to agree with number 2. Be specific and stick to the facts. Constructive criticism should be factual and should not be a criticism of the individual. I don't really agree with asking for feedback. State your issue and forget about it. Feedback will only encourage an argument and result in a flame war. The person will either accept it or not. If not don't add fuel to the fire.

Another thing I learned - if they don't ask don't offer!

No need to ever proactively "let them have it".
However - when attacked - our counter-punches leave the attacker regretting their attack!
