Yes, the 50-word minimum gets a lot of members! Posting a photo alone or a quick paragraph isn't enough - just check the total words in the bottom right side as you write your post and make sure there are at least 50 words.

Blog posts, reblogs, comments have min of words to get points. 

My guess is that you missed having enough word count. You must have 50 words minimum and pretty sure one letter words don't count. Go back and edit and write a few more words and see the points appear.

You only get points for the first 10. Despite what others may say points are important. First, points can get you more active. If you start blogging once a day, read and leave comments for other blogs, answer q and a, you get more points, you become more active and attract more business. Next if you are competive like me, scroll down to the leaderboard at the bottom of any page and watch yourself climb. 

Did you go over 10 posts for the week? And were your posts at least 50 words?

  More words.  The words cannot be an image; they must be actual words.

Like everybody said already, there are a minimum of words required in order to get the 225 points per post.

I think you have your answer from the other responders.

They need to be 50 words minimum and you only get points for the first 10 per week (week resets at 0000 Monday.

A post must have 50 words or more and there is a limit of 10 posts per week - for points. 

You need to achieve a certain volume to earn points.

I did get points for a blog posted Feb 2 that was created using Active Rains blog publishing resources (no imported). Of course AR mismatched the fonts and mangled the format making it appear I'm a blogging novice or have no concern for a professional image.

Makes it hard to want to publish a blog. AR contests involving blogs are really hard for me to engage.

Perhaps the gremlins are in your hood. wait a day or two to see if the points eventually appear.

You receive posts for only ten per week, and they must have 50 words per post.

Maybe not enough words on your blog.  I don't find points to be important except once you hit 500,000 you don't have to pay membership :)
