I am new to active rain. I have posted to facebook with no results- its easy to post an ad. I am not new to real estate. But active rain responses are often "I never pay for leads" - can anyone elaborate? 10+ years of real estate with a database I call on a regular basis but also constantly feed the database. how are you feeding your database? I hate paying for leads. Where is the magic bullet? I ask for referrals and I get them. I am new to active rain but every time I visit a Q&A its the same answer. No real help or advice. Just "I dont do that" " I wouldnt pay for leads" " I do it the old school way". Why not just tell us what you are doing?

It is easy to do a Facebook ad campaign. Why pay for someone to do this for you?

Never heard of them but there are so many companies that will manage your FB campaigns (aka spend your $$). I can do my own advertising & throw away my money. All these years, I'm good at it.

For all the Realtors who answered "I do not pay for leads", you did not understand my question....
I do not pay for leads either nor do I intend to. What I was asking about is a company called Agentleads.co (OR ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS) which is a company that helps you post, manage and optimize Facebook ad campains, THEY DO NOT SELL LEADS AT ALL.
Although I am pretty familiar with the FB Ad Manager and with FB advertising, I just don't have the time to consistently manage my social media advertising and I am researching different companies that can handle that aspect of my marketing for me.
For the agent who asked me what I do otherwise for generating leads (Jennifer Hollowell), thanks for asking. There is no magic bullet...I geographical cold call 2 hours everyday. I use Mojo with 1 line dialer and I got my lists from various suppliers (Cole and others). I thouroughly follow up with the potential leads, sometimes for more than a year. Last year a third of my business ($300k total GCI) came from cold calling. The rest of my buisness came from referrals from past clients or friends and from religiously calling my past clients and my sphere and picked a couple of good buyers from holding my open houses.
All the best to you Jennifer

Here is a quick how to video and with a landing page and ad example: http://postaprop.com/blog/build-crm-database-listings/
One of the keys to consider when setting up a Facebook ad is "Where are you sending the traffic". If you're sending them to your agent site, a listing page, or worse, your Facebook page then you won't get the results you want.
ALWAYS use a "Facebook integrated landing page" that matches the ad.

Those companies tend to use the same postings for many of their clients. I think you can create fresh content and post yourself.

To me it sounds like a money gra. They are trying to grab our money. You can do better with those fees.

No, I have no experience with them. The few times that I have paid for leads, I have not gotten a good ROI!

I seem to be contacted by one of these new companies a week. If you can compose a blog post or work on Gimp and make an image with content you can spend your own money. Facebook will give you all the analytics - you choose the audience and answer leads

Sorry, no experience. I use Back at You Media for my Facebook Business page and through which I can do ad campaings as/when I please.
