I fear nothing.... I don't sense a lot of fearfulness. Rising interest rates have been expected for a very long time and have been artificially low for a very long time. They are still at historical lows. Lack of inventory is obviously an issue... but I've lived through many market cycles and this, too, shall pass. As for the stock market, things go up, they go down. Invest with a long term view and ability to cash in at your personal discretion and there won't be anything to fear.
And why just focus on fear... what about focusing on positive things in our economy... lower taxes, more income, more employment, etc.?

I survived the recession and have prepared for the next. I look upon changes as new opportunities for something different.

not in the slightest.
I guarantee you that the stock market will drop, interest rates will go up, inventory will go up and down.

FEAR? No, that is not the word I would use at all regarding stock market or rising interest rates or not even so much related to lack of inventory.
Now AWARE is a word I would use.
That leads to awareness how these changes may impact buyers and sellers. Knowing changing conditions will have them asking themselves different questions. I need to be the one to offer the only solution they should choose.
The ball is in my court. Should I not honer their concerns properly, I fear they may make a wrong choice.

It is part of the cycle. Real estate always has a place in each one of the mentioned. Down homeowner sales= increase in investor purchases.... stock market dropping= more money moved out of market into real estate...

Not too worried about any of it. Stock market is up and interest rates need to rise. Inventories will always fluctuate.

- "I must not fear.
- Fear is the mind-killer.
- Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
- I will face my fear.
- I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
- And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
- Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

All of the items on your list will not happen at the same time, that is if the first two happen in a big way, the last one will not be an issue.

Hi, Tony Lewis - great question.
We wrote a blog featuring what experts say the rise in interest rates may signify. And when it comes to low inventory, our real estate professionals take advantage of Seller's Corner to boost their listings.
Hope both of those resources help!
