Spam filters do a lot of that but, unfortunately in our industry, there is far more spam than most people receive in their inboxes!

There are many that I've opted out from manually.  For a while I received a lot from several local agents and offices as well.  Most use either Constant Contact or MailChimp which EXPRESSLY FORBID the use of purchased, borrowed, stolen, downloaded, etc. mailing lists.  I've reported all that came my way and I'm pretty sure most of those accounts (even ones for large companies) have either been shut down or at least severely limited.  Bonus is, I no longer get those spam emails!

Delete. Delete. Delete.  Even those I have unsubscribed to are still spamming me.  Even is you did create an one click app ... someone else would find a way to hack it ... it is the way of our world today ... 

My email client does a great job of me not seeing spam

I do opt out of many emails permanently without effort. 

I use Unroll.me, a free program and it daily reviews your inbox and they unsubscribe for you.

No but GMail has something like it but can't remember the particulars. Seriously - use the BLOCK feature.

I'd go as far as 3 clicks to opt out permanently but generally speaking a click a day keeps the garbage at bay.

I am cynical. I think that hitting the opt out link just verifies to the sender that they hit a live recipient and they then sell my email address to others. Delete button works well.

Caroline Gerardo I use a program called MailWasher, You can develop a Friends List and a Black List. The nice thing about this program is it checks the email on the ISP server. Malicious or spam never downloads to your PC.

It's almost a daily exercise for me.

I can not imagine a email program that does not provide "Always place email from this sender in the JUNK/Trash folder' with a single click by the flag pull-down.

The again, you can save the effort by 'upping' the security threshold to allow only those whose address appears in your mail list. If you receive leads at this address, the outcome could prove catastrophic.
