I've never used one, never found them to be convenient. My wife has to use one at work, Virgin requires them for in-flight operations.

Some phones are nearly the size of a tablet, but I still use my surface tablet often, especially for meetings.

That assumes one used one in the first place! In my case I bought a Samsung Galaxy tablet at least six years ago because everyone was saying I needed to have one... have virtually never used it. Taking a small laptop for me is easier and otherwise I use my phone.

I don't use mine either.  PC and Phone work for me as well.

As phones are getting bigger screens and more website being responsive (mobile freindly), I see tablets being used less as well.  I still like my desktop and laptop though.  I can't type worth a darn on my phone.   Wife still likes her kindle, but not for work.

They were quite popular in the hospital world for operations and to give to patients so they could watch movies while in isolation (after all, it's all about the patient satisfaction survey score).  Some restaurants (BJ's for example) now use them to take your order, they even have card readers on them so the waitress can take care of that for you at the table.  Stacked hamburger out here, as well as a few restaurants in Australia, have no wait staff and everything from ordering food to gettting drink refills to paying is done on the tablet.  McDonalds is even experimenting with computer based ordering.  So no, the tablet isn't dead it's just finding it's "true calling."

I stopped using mine a few years ago, as well.  I can do everything I want and need on my phone and laptop.   It's just one more thing... and one more line to pay for. 

I have one, but like you, have not used it in years.  Use my phone while out for the day.

I still like my iPad, but my new phone with larger screen may have me pulling away.

My analytics give me the impression that many are using them to look at my site. Not as many as mobile, but still quite a few.

I used to use my iPad for a lot of things, but don't anymore. The only time I pull it out is for an open house. I do think tablets are declining in use.

Whoever knew that I would be saying that tablets are old-school but, I'm still using mine!

I carry two - one for the clients and one for me - on buyer tours. I have an email set up for them so they can email themselves notes or other information I have loaded on their tablet. There is a notepad that they can also take notes on and email to themselves and of course, their tour itinerary & neighborhood data.

I use mine for showing but do think people use their phones much more now than they did even 2 years ago.

I actually use one quite frequently when out with clients and also teaching. In fact just bought a new one as other one was so old.

I still use them in my business.  When looking at property I load the MLS sheets and the client has one and I have one.  we can make notes on the sheets in the program I use and then the ones of interest I can print for them when we arrive back at the office.  Clients love it

I prefer my little laptop; rest good enough on an iPhone +.

I'm seeing the same results with my analytics. On my MarketLeader site as well as my iHouseWeb site. Not many people are using them for house hunting. I think they're still being used, but primarily for streaming HULU, Netflix and the like.

yes, everyone is telling that mobile is used much more by clients than desktops. I use only laptop for long typing, for the rest: ipad and iphone.

Part of our family is in the furniture business, and they use  their all the time. It really depends on the need.  We have used ours in demos, and in checking that our sites are mobile friendly.  We both do a lot of reading so they are handy, particularly on the plane.  A

I find my phone too small, but my tablet is not as good for several sites, so I end up working on my laptop.

That's I think the way it is going to go with phones getting better & better. Larger also.

I have a Surfacebook Pro (a convertible) which has been converted to tablet just one time, to confirm that I could.

ASk those young folk around you what their 'PRACTICAL' definition of mobile is.  

I won a iPad Air in a raffle a while ago. I use it only for entertainment.

Seems to be declining, I still carry mine most everywhere.

I use a laptop..... have no files!!!
