I think first you need to be more specific about identifying 'people'. It's easy to get overwhelmed when you're trying to cast too wide a net.

As a "Real Estate Wrtier For Water Pointe Realty Group" you should not have to ask around here for ideas. After all, you are supposed to be a professional writer. But, seeing as your first 2 blog posts are pretty much cut and paste articles with minor changes, I guess you are not really a professional writer and Water Pointe realty should be concerned about your technique. I don't think that giving credit for the pictures you "borrowed" will save Water Pointe Realty from the consequences to follow.

You have many options. All of which require some 'mining' on your part.

SM dashboard are a great place to start. 90% of them allow FREE (limited) versions with sufficient capability to monitor conversation. I recommend Sendible.

Key word analytics such as those proved by Google and SEMrush are excellent tools for discovering what folks are searching.

An agents should consider exploring these venues BEFORE finalizing the message to send to their geo farm. 

However, you may find it less time consuming and more direct to simply note what those citizens can SEE. The go with that as the lead. However, if you have budget for online marketing, this is work you should be doing anyway so leverage that for blogging also.

Consider balancing your weekly schedule to include hot topics, hyper local real estate news and market conditions with interpretation.

The FAQ you as a real estate agent or broker get hit with daily, on the hour ever hour. Those are you what they want and you need to serve up in your blog posting hunt and peck. BUYERS - which kind? The new to the area and know nothing about your turf so beef up the community information and show me around first before talking properties or local but elderly and thinking retirement and downsizing so it's first floor living that they want to extra extra read all about it. Make your blogging round robin and revisit the niche audiences you service. Green living, DIY build your own home, talk about buying the land for the stick built or modular home. Tell me about local mortgage bank rates and the best real estate program fit for me out here in the online audience. See me, talk to me, give me something worthwhile, helpful that does down easy and is retained in the information digestion.

Check Inman, RISMedia etc to get the idea on hot topics, Julien Ray.

Write about what you know and know your target audience.

Don't chase the shiny topic of interest...you will be a day late. Instead, focus on providing as much local real estate information as you can (i.e. subdivisions, communities, market reports, etc.). That information will net you returns.

If you still decide to write about a trending topic, make it something relevant to the local demographic you are seeking to get leads from (i.e. the new community center for 55+, how the new school zoning laws affect millennial homeowners, etc.).

Neighborhood info is always in demand, become the local expert.

Read other blog posts, follow other real estate sites, as others have said what is interesting to peoplebuying and selling homes in your area.

If you are writing for a specific company, you need to be writing about the location and target market they serve, not general information.   This comes with local market knowledge and access to current real estate information. Perhaps the company you write for can tell you what topics they want covered and provide the information you need.

Just start with the town closest or has the most sales & start giving market updates that people are interested in. Your MLS can give you tons of ideas.

   Read the featured blogs on AR, including the comments.  Visit this question board daily.  

Local new and events are always popular. Talk about the places you visit and enjoy.

Every pocket of Real Estate has landmarks, dynamics, charm & desire. Visit the neighborhoods, communities/city and random people for their thoughts

Hastags on Twitter? a google search for recent real estate topics possibly specific to your target market? try using various Keyword search tools to see how popular specific long tail keywords are for your desired market? Don't look for trending topics. 

Discover who your avatar is , and then find out what their pain points are, what is it that they need, then fill that need. 

Always speak the language of your audience and niche it down, drill deep. 

stop using google and start with learning the local market

National and international news can affect your local market. Address how your market is reacting or what it has to offer that is untouched by national events.

You need to dial down you search and look for a single subject...just listen to the news

I am just getting back into blogging. In fact, I am writing 30 blogs before I begin posting again. (I just moved to another city/state so I must begin again.) Blogging is evergreen so be diligent and you will see results.

Google keyword analytics is great. Have a plan and a calendar. And do your best to have 5-7 blog articles per week.
