Not unless he's converting parking lots to housing. The public parking lot is becoming an extinct concept with the advent of Lyft and driver-less cars, I predict fewer will own cars in the future and rely on technology.

I like parking lots for potential investment, especially the pricey ones (that charge $40-$60/day) in downtown Chicago, but I don't care for Kalanick as a partner.

If that was the blight in my real estate market. We invest in the local community to help weatherization, energy conservation and general repair. Small towns help that elderly widow by showing up and whipping it into shape like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. The Maine Association of REALTORS does so so much for affordable housing programs. Lots of avenues to help housing.
