I don't do open hosues, so it would be a bit tough to stop by to introduce himself to me... that being said, in principle, I wouldn't mind so long as he restricted himself to introductions to me and not to prospective buyers and didn't take me away from speaking with prospective buyers.

No, not at all.  Same with lenders, stagers, etc.  They just need to announce who they are and why they are there and allow me to prioritize buyers over them if the house is busy.  Nothing worse than someone trying to sell you on something when you're trying to sell the house!

Generally, no.  However, open homes in my area tend to be non-stop standing room only with non-stop questions from guests.  That means I would not have time to talk with you.

I wouldn't mind at all! Suggestion: be mindful of the agents attention. If a potential buyer walks in, be prepared to quickly conclude your chat, leave the agent with a business card and then follow up with a "nice to meet you" email later in the day.

Not at all, like us they need to build relationships to build business. As long as they don't go round pointing out anything wrong with the house. The same with mortgage providers.

I do not mind. Of course, I want them to respect that I am holding the home open for a reason. I would not want them to be a barrier to meeting buyers.

It is all about building relationships and asking for and giving referrals.

I wouldn't mind at all..I had a loan officer who moved into the community recently stop in on Sunday and was glad to meet him. That's what an open house is for..meet buyers, neighbors, future sellers, business vendors..one big networking event!!
