Jordan thank you for bringing this up and I think you need to write a full blog post about it and tag the holy living crap out of NAR and Open Door. This is important information. Consumers get bamboozled and they don't find out until it's too late they are not getting a deal.

They have no presence here, so I have not seen one. Thanks for sharing this!

Although OPEN DOOR fine print is very predatory, the question that really needs to be asked is "What is the problem Open Door is solving?"
Until you know that answer you will simply be whacking at leaves and never getting to the root.
Clearly people are willing to pay OPEN DOORs fee for this solution.

Wow! NAR is too afraid of it's shadow to do anything. They got spooked by the anti-trust people once and now they won't lift a finger to help the agents or to talk bad about another business model or competitor.

I have not. Prior to reading this, I had no knowledge or information about the company.

Thank you, Jordan Ayan, I was curious about the costs. It's made to sound so good but seems too good to be true. This is the exposure that is needed to show homeowners the real story. YES, still waiting for the NAR to step up and support us because I believe we are why they exist.

They're here in the Atlanta market and advertise on the radio frequently along with OfferPad, Knock and the like. All investor backed start-ups that attempt to purchase a Seller's home below market value.
Homeowners beware!

I had no knowledge or information about the company. I have seen lots of the WE BUY Houses and also the Agent models for if we can't sell it we buy it "Guarantee" Jordan Ayan

They actually send an offer on one of my listings, they're VERY present in my market. I went on a listing appt about ten days ago, they will be selling their house to Opendoor as they don't want to get it ready to show and don't want any buyers going in and out of their home.

They don't have to belong to NAR remember? If they did would it make them less scavengers? I think not.
I'm going to use that commission note on my next close.

I have not even heard of Open Door, but actually laughed when I read the "Open Door Experience fee". It makes me consider changing the name of my fee to "3rd Party Processing Experience fee" but that could be misconstrued in interesting ways! LOL

Just like the name says they'll get you coming and going. A unique Opendoor experience. Market Risk Charge, that's a good one Jordan!
