I have used(technically a professional photographer) a drone for a property. It was appropriate for that particular instance. It is not a regular practice.

For me it is price point (property) specific.

I rarely see the benefit in UAV for the densely packed communities in which I work. Of course the occasional beach estate presents a different opportunity.

Rarely use aerial photography.... only when it really enhances the marketing and understanding of a property.

I use aerial drone photography for 1 acre parcels or larger; no matter the price. I use video walk-through, not Matterport. Matterport isn't really used here. I hire a professional to do all my photography. I also have my listings professionally measured and provide a detailed floor plan. Our tax records are notorious for being 100 - 200 SF short. That can mean tens of thousands of dollars to the sellers.

   I have a home inspector who does drone inspections of the roof.

I use drone photography.  Not for 3 D video.

Benjamin ~ I haven't had a listing that warranted drone use yet, but would definitely do it if it helped market the property.  I starting to use Matterport for all my listings as a point of differentiation.

In town the drone heading a loft works against the marketing because it creates a jammed in feeling. The opposite of what you want but on a 300 acre farm listing, a waterfront property the drone done in easy does it to add to the video presentation helps create interest, desire that leads to action. Have two drones, the newest named "Sputnik".

It depends on the new listing, some make for great marketing and others do not. I do everything to show the hme in its best light

for the right properties, we use aerial photography, 3D video, floor plans and more.....  "the eye buys"....

Using drones for new subdivisions.

It depends on the property.  

I do enjoy these and we have a few vendors in our area that do great work.

Drone photography & videography for unique properties - golf course communities, lake homes and equestrian properties. I've used it in very little neighborhood marketing but, it is great for communities.

I have in the past Benjamin Carrison but I'm finding many buyers are now considering it passe and would rather study pictures before coming to see in person.

Professional photography has been sufficient so far for the listings in my marketplace.  

I have not had a property that warrants using a drone.  Most of what I do are tract homes and those have, in my opinion, zero need for a drone since you can see the entire property with the naked eye.

We just started 3D video in our brokerage - doing it in office.  Sellers love it so far.

Sorry, all leanders will NOT accept drone photo for homes rpts. It is a fad and will disappear except in very large estates to snoop on other people.

Benjamin Carrison - I have a drone and have started including drone photography.

Many agents in my area were using drones, but the City put a stop to it as it was conclued it was an invasion of some people's privacy.. You now have to get permission from he City beforehand.

I have not used a drone, but did use a Matterport 3d photographer for one specific listing where it really helped. 

I have not used drone photography. Much of our area near DC is in a no fly zone.

The past year I have been using drone photos and video for my listing over 200K.

I have used a drone photographer for a few of my listings, when it warrants it.

I use drone as needed and video if the home is on the market more than a few days. 

In N. Virginia we are very restricted with air space and require special licensing to do so or you can face very steep fines so its not something an agent can easily do on their own it would need to be hired out or risk the penalties Benjamin Carrison
