UPDATE: I read the story. Interesting to say the least. I see it as an issue with MLS's as well and the agreement with brokers who use the MLS and allow syndication. Is it any different than IDX Broker or other MLS data feed providers that, for a fee, pay the MLS for live data feeds?

I think he's an evil genius with a good case to win. I assume because of this case, our MLS has given us the opportunity to check/uncheck if photos can be used after closing. We now have the option depending on what our photo agreement is.
Boy, I can't think of a better thing for crowd funding than for this guys attorneys fees.

I believe Nina Hollander is correct. Z is profitable for a few quarters. It even taxt us wanting to SELL ZIP codes on FB now, another source of income.
The one which we are all affected is Redfin charging 1% commission paying photography and other things. It hard to compete since they got all huge bill boards across major freeways(at least between LA and SFO) that 1% full service or 2% listing fee with free staging, cleaning and painting kicked in. They are 24/7 team and very quick to get back to you. Wall Street questioned if they are losing their pants to get the business but they are PROFITTABLE last quarter. On CNBC they say that is the new way to run real estate business realizing not all look at the billboard and 1% "fool" servivce. So if you are driving customers around just point direction opposite from the billboard. "What is going on there?"

Agents will not stop paying them becuase they are looking for easy leads that can be costly in the end. With that suit i would never use a photograpger where i only had a year to use a photo.
