It's absolutely a monster hurricane and it affects us here also. Darn thing is 500 miles away and I'm seeing my first glimpse of Sun since yesterday. It's imperative that people understand a CAT 4's power and a few were hunkering down in the eye's expected path. My prayers are with all who may be exposed to its strength.

We have had no cable TV or internet (still sporadic, some kind of Spectrum outage here) until a little while ago so just catching upon the news. I cannot believe what a monster this thing became in just a couple days.

I just heard that the pressure bottomed out at 919mb, stronger than Andrew, so it is a very dangerous storm.

We are fine on Cocoa Beach but my heart and prayers go out to everyone in harm's way.
