If it's rejection from a lead (in person or on phone), I say, "OK thank you"  Sometimes I even add a little eye roll (on the phone of course).

If it's a rejection from an existing client, I might dwell on it for a few days and then let it go.

If you are in the real estate business, it is just a part of the equation. I don't sweat it at all. I just move on to the next "no" because "every no is one step closer to a yes" and you have to get them out of the way.

The more we hone our skills (and work with trusted referral sources), the fewer "no's" we will have between our yeses.

These days I handle it a lot better than when i first started. It is a learned trait for most. It still stings to lose a listing to a big company now and then. But many more are contacting me these days, my days of cold calling are long over. That sure cuts down on the rejection by getting lots of referrals.

Usually, a rejection in sales just means that your product wasn't what the prospect needed. Expect it.  Remember, rejection happens. Be professional. You need to remain polite and professional.
