I have never done this. This would not be a part of my business strategy.  Not my modus operandi.

We worked with a client in Canada.  Prior to meeting with her, she bought a smart car and had it wrapped with her company name, etc.  She was the laughing stock of her city...Now I realize you are not in Canada and markets differ.  I have worked in 9 cities in Florida, and not one of our clients would even think of doing that. What is tasteful in my opinion is a personalized license plate.  It is classy and unobtrusive.  But that is just my opinion, for what it is worth to you!

Then you'll never be off duty. I had a sign on the door eons ago & I drive like a maniac so it turned out to be a bad idea. 

I don't... never have, never will... just not my style. Just seems so declasse to me. I also don't wear name tags, by the way, or any uniform type of clothing to identify my corporate affiliation.

I had the back window decal on all 5 of my vehicles Denise Copeland . I don't know if it worked or not but it got my name out there.

I don't wrap my car simply because I don't like it but, I do have a vanity plate on my car. One thing to consider is that you have to drive with respect - ALWAYS! LOL

I drive around with "Homes for Heroes" magnets which include my phone # and name. I have had people ask for more information at gas stations, grocery stores, etc. However, I may not be able to use this program when I move out west next year. At that time, I probably will not have advertisements on my vehicle. It doesn't seem to really bring any new clients.

No.  I prefer to blend in when driving and not be an easy target.  Plus, if I cut someone off, they're less likely to bad mouth me to everyone they know.

The only signage I have on OLD RED  is a bumper sticker that reads:

                              This is NOT an abandoned vehicle.

My car has a rear window decal, a license plate ring with company info and a vanity tag. Everything is marketing.  

It does encourage better driving. It's like marketing and a public service. Win-win.

Have it on my husband's car.  He drives far more than me.

the only signage I ever had on my vehicle was a license plate frame with my office name and my number.... my plate is my last name....

Never in 32 years and no plans to do it future years. I do like a more discrete logo on side door or rear.

In our condominium we are not allowed park the car with advertising.

I have magnets (signs) for the front doors.  I only use when I hold a house open.  

Not something I would do and it's pretty rare in my area for Realtors. Maybe a licensse plate? But depends on the market. Be careful driving if you move forward!!

I'll wear a name tag and occasionally a coat with a logo that allows for a conversation never learned sign language to communicate going down the road at 70 mph!

Your auto lettering should be very effective. It also makes it easier for clients to follow you.

We always wanted the wraps. They work well here. But Wellington does not allow cars with signage to stay in your driveway and we do not have a garage to park the car into. We are in a high end community and the cars, vans, and moving trucks the realtors use do get them business. No one laughs as we have a lot of entreprenuers and high end business owners who understand marketing. 

Many years ago my insurance company suggested that I remove these.

Why to ruin a good car? No, not my thing. 

Here are some cautionary stories:

1) A Phoenix-area real estate agent had a license plate border that said "million dollar producer." Someone carjacked him, drove him to the desert and asked for his million dollars. This was told by a police officer in realtor safety class. Though it sounds like a remote-odds kind of story, it did cause me to wonder if it's wise to gloat in public.

2) An agent drove her vehicle that was wrapped with her agency's information- including her phone number. She began receiving odd phone calls at all hours from a man who was curious about her relationship status.

3) An agent near an airport had a car magnet advertisement that he'd put on the side of his vehicle. He was pulled over by a police officer and asked if he had a noise warning document. It was a law that agents needed to disclose the excessive noise to their clients in that area. He informed the officer that he didn't have a client with him. The officer informed him that his advertising showed that he was an agent and the disclosure documents needed to be in his possession. The fine was in the hundreds of dollars.

I don't necessarily think it's bad to advertise on your vehicle. I do think though that one must consider the potential liability or unwelcome outcomes that might come with the consideration of doing so.

I don't see may vehicles in my area with real estate advertising. 

I would not do it for the same reason others have mentioned - too aggressive driving - among other reasons...

It would be tacky for my personality.  It works for some people and I don't look down on them.  I have a license plate cover with my company and website though.

No. When going on listing appointments, a good % of sellers didn't like having nosy neighbors know of their plans before they were ready. i had to move a listing up once because I had a little magnet sticker on back that said " I Sell Homes". A nosy neighbor quickly spread the word that there was a real estate agent parked in their driveway. That evening, the sellers got several calls from people in their community asking them if they were planning on selling and moving, then started telling them about this great agent they know, and all of them had contacted their friends and relatives that were agents, then those agents began swamping them with phone calls trying to get the listing. They called me that night and asked me to put in the mls to stop all the calls.

I prefer the discreet professional approach. Advertising on my car is..... lets just say 'not me'. I'm not joe public gimmicky...

I used to see full car wraps and now am seeing a lighter touch like a side panel or back window sign. For me, I don't want anything on my car.

I don't...  I'm "on call" enough & it's just not my thing.  More importantly, some sellers would like to keep it quiet until their decision is made & things are ready to roll.  A billboard on my car won't help that.  

I used to have magnets and they were stolen. I had lettering on my back window but it soon peeled. Now i like to drive in cognito so i can go a little faster

There are times my driving is not a good advertisement. I'm not proud to admit it, but I know it well enough not to have it be a problem. 

Early on we just had our website on our back bumper. We had no way to track it, so have no idea if it was worthwhile or not. Now, for the past 13 years, we have not. I don't like having people knowing who I am while I drive. -K

Denise, I think that is a great idea.  I was in Naples over the Thanksgiving weekend and could see potential buyers driving around looking at signs of builders, architects and real estate agents.  I think a tastefully done logo and phone number could do very well.

I had and used front door magnets on both sides of my car when I first started in the biz, 19 years ago.  Never got any buisiness from them but got asked a lot of questions for directions when I would pull into a gas station.

I have not, and prefer not to advertise while driving.

I do not post or attach anything to my car. No bumper stickers, no widow stickers, etc. Personal preference since I started to drive many years ago.

I don't currently, however I work with an agent who does it and does very well.

I would never mar my car with signage.
