I remember when Yahoo and Hotmail started limiting the size of accounts in an effort to get their subscribers to pay.   Google stepped in and took over with unlimited accounts.

Someone will step in and offer an alternative.

I do have Flickr but, rarely use it. I will say this is yet another great reason to use your own photos - you'll never have to worry about things like this!

No I do not use it but the new limit isn't very much if you store your photos there. Good to know. Storage costs are probably killing them.

I have a Flikr account but don't use it that often. If I had thousands of photos on Flikr, I would probably just switch to a paid account. $50.00 a year is ok, but wonder if they will keep increasing price? I would also look for alternatives like google photos, shuttterfly, etc.

We have been a member since 2007, use the pro paid version of Flickr. Over 2600 images in there we shot with the brownie hawkeye and uploaded to promote my neat area call Maine. Flickr like Pinterest is part of the sizzle of the steak eye candy that surrounds the meat and potatoes real estate listings.

I only use images that I license. I use Adobe Stock Images. I'd rather pay some money and be safe as opposed to risking a copyright violation as the costs are steep for such (and yes, I have known people to get hit with those... one I recall was $800 for using an unauthorized image.). And "no" you can't just take the image down, you are charged for the usage and they are very agressive in collecting their money.

We either take photos or just buy them.  Our time is too valuable to deal with stuff like this.  We have a big peace of mind account, and it pays off with our health and well being!
